Nice to see Hunter Tyson back on the court. A good spark in limited minutes. Hopefully PJ follows on Saturday. And while a full-strength Clemson team could still lose to any team in the ACC tourney, they could go toe-to-toe with any as well. Let’s finish strong.

Just about any team (except NC State, BC, GA Tech, or Pitt) in the ACC could literally win the tournament. First time in a long long time that's been the case. I don't think it'll happen, but Fla State beat ND tonight... Not sure who they have back though. Ga Tech really doesn't have a chance without Devion Smith? You could tell tonight how much they miss him.

I get our record this year and the overall record for Coach Brownell is not great, but nobody can say he cannot coach. We absolutely need better players and that is on the coach so maybe if he is back next year the guys we have coming in will help because Middlebrooks and Schieffelin are keepers.

The rub is we say that every year. A lot like coot football. They pull off a nice upset over uga and they start thinking the coach is great and next year they'll be better blah blah.
Who knows what may or may not happen with ACC basketball but it is as down as its been in 60 years. Second place ACC team may get a 9 seed. So yes, both will develop into good players. But we're 15-15 and our competition is weak. We gutted out a great comeback win but it's against a really bad ga tech team.
Not being negative, just being realistic.

I agree, it seems a lot of folks accept mediocre basketball at Clemson - including the AD. Next week we make our annual cameo appearance in the ACC tourney and another lackluster basketball season is forgotten.

He is responsible for the recruitment, development, retention, preparation, and gameday coaching of our players. We pay him a ton of money for this responsibility.
Metrics like media projections and overall wins(don't look at losses) are nonsense.
We are objectively worse overall than we were under Purnell. Do you think Brownell can get us back to being a consistent tourney team in the next decade? Or maybe we should take a shot on someone else?

... Clemson couldn't shoot free throws for #@!$. I still think Brownell has been our best coach since Barnes.

and got it himself. I kinda get a feeling that our coaches must role play our guys too much and they're not free to play their way.I understand you can't have chaos out there like AND1 but i also have seen it year after year how a kid comes in and plays lights out and then fizzles out as the season goes on. Is it too much information or is it just that they're tiring out, is it my imagination? Guys like Hemenway Dawes and Honor should be key contributors by now but they stay inconsistent and haven't really gotten better. I can say that for alot of the players that played for Brownell. They just dont' get better other than Blossomgame and KJ McDaniel and maybe Simms in a distant 3rd. Thats the only players i can think of that were average players that turned into great assets.
