against a poor Boston College team. I hope the disrespect fuels this team. NET rankings and national media don't give us anything for being first place in the ACC. I hope it motivates this team to keep winning especially when the schedule gets tougher in the coming weeks.

Being on the road is the issue.

Road games in college basketball are tough. I don’t care who the opponent is. Just come away with a win and get home.

that's only rated a tiny bit higher than BC in KenPom.
Road games in CBB are very difficult and the advanced metrics also aren't too high on our Tigers yet.

Clemson was dealing with several injuries to key players just as FSUs 5-Star Seven-footer came off of his 16 game suspension.

the year playing good basketball.
For example, both Virginia Tech and Florida State are much better than their records suggest. While I don't expect them to become quad 1 wins, I do think they can move up in the rankings as they win games.
If nothing else is done to the NET, one thing that I do want to see is greater weight placed on games after the new year. Putting equal weight on games played in November versus games played in January or February is ridiculous. The selection committee puts more emphasis on recent performance, and any calculation they use should too. It's common sense.

We haven't been playing down to the competition.

First of all, our competition has been solid lately. The Virginia Tech team we played recently is not the same team from earlier in the year. They are much better now.
The Florida State team we just played is not the same team from November and December.
Plus, we've been dealing with significant injuries, and we aren't the same team we would be at full strength. Being without Chase Hunter hurt us a lot, not having Galloway was a big deal too, and not having Hemenway all this time has left us without our best shooter.
Not having three starters at various points in the season has hurt us, plain and simple. I think we've been super resilient to persevere in these games, against opponents who are solid competition. Despite these injuries, we will lead the ACC at 10-1. That's outstanding for anyone, especially Clemson, and especially without key starters playing.
As for bad teams, we played Georgia Tech without Chase Hunter or Alex Hemenway and won by a bunch. We took care of business.

Funny how you allow for all of these "excuses" during basketball season but railed against similar arguments when they were used during football season...

Expect to get their best game. Everyone takes it up a notch when they play against the conference leader. No matter who that may be.

When will you guys learn what a point spread really is? If you are not betting on the game just ignore it. It means nothing. It is not reflective of a team’s strength or weakness. It is only bait to try to get people to bet.
