Yesterday, we dropped early and then many of the teams above us faltered.
Ended the day T 8th
Teed off early and after playing thru holes 4-7 - we are at (-1) +10 total.. Unfortunately, that has not moved us up in position at this time.
Need all 5 to play well - just in case.
Florida State playing well after a horrible yesterday. -3 on day and +12 total.
Wake, UNC, Louisville and GT - along with Clemson and FSU are top 15 at the moment.

Yep, the short term goal is 15th after today. Clemson still in good shape for that. But, the long term goal is top 8 after tomorrow. Every stroke today is extremely important.
Noles are having a great round so far. But, now is not the time to coast. -7 as a team and still on front nine. Currently in 6th.

Yeah yeah, gloat. We just can't play complimentary golf so far. Jacob needs to get on a roll. May have subbed Zach for today but hopefully William will get hot on the back. Par 3's and the one par 5 on the back. We need some red!!!! Hoping for top 6 going into tomorrow.
You're right, every stroke is critical.

Dropped from 8 to 11. Now back to 8.
+2 on the day which is the third worst of the top 15. Now 2 birdies post and we are back to even for the day .
Ok state running away with it. Total -9
Ok is the only other team under par - total -2
FSU is rocking up the board -7 for day and total of +8.
Clemson sits at even for the day and +11 total. Now back to 8th. Since I started typing this update we had 2 birdies post.
6 of 7 ACC teams looking good for top 15 ith only nc state not looking good.

No birdies on the par 5 11th. Earlier teams were scoring on the back. We need red on the back and need one guy to get hot... Thought Jacob would stick it today. Can't get mo going.

Agree.
He has not had a contributing round in a while. The best teams have very consistent scores across the team - then if one has a bogey,it does not crash the team.
Tie for 134 th. Will not get it done.

Back before 2009 Oklahoma State would be sitting pretty right now in stroke play and looking mighty good when it came to winning the National Championship but now they have got to carry all that momentum from stroke play after Monday over to Tuesday into match play and that is hard to do.A lot of teams that have dominated in stroke play and finished first did not end up winning the National Title in match play.

NCAA has leaders going off first. That makes it real interesting for the fight for top 15. The guys going off late will know what they need to shoot to get to 15th. Looks like SMU, UGA and Oregon State will be very interested in seeing the final scores for GT, Texas Tech and even Arkansas.
Seems like 6 teams battling for 3 spots. GT currently in 16th, but looks good to finish in top 15.
Side note: Texas Tech was leading after round 1. (Playerd way over their heads.) Now, they are fight to make top 15 and a longshot to make final 8.

I spoke too soon. Teams starting well outside the top 15 still could play their way in. Several teams are only a few strokes behind the 3 I mentioned in the other post.

Tigers finish in 10th spot, only two strokes out of 8th. Not a great round today, but in the grand scheme of things, only dropped 2 spots. Pressure packed round tomorrow.

The other three will be anxiously watching the scoreboard.

Texas Tech +29
GT +32
I think Ark and TT make it. Right now the cut is +26. 3 teams on the course would have to beat +29 to knock them out. Probably won't happen.
But, GT is a different story. Only 1 team on the course has to beat +32. They have nobody to blame but themselves. +15. Almost certainly their worst round of the year.

You got your wish. Last player on the course doubled 18. They were at +31 tied for 15th. That double knocked them out of any chance for even a playoff. 15 teams have finished ahead of them.
