Thoughts On The Fire Marshal And Tickets Business ---

Oct 8, 2017, 12:35 AM

For the students and their fan experience ....how about using the 2 dollar bill tradition and expand it a bit to the students in another way. If you got 2 dollars or a 2 dollar bill and with your student ID you get a spot on The Hill or somewhere in that student section. Or set a reasonable student price with half the proceeds going towards some charitable organization that really needs the funding.

Would that put bodies in those student sections? You fill up space in the stadium and you support a good cause in the process as well as possibly expanding that legendary 2 dollar tradition.

For the Fire Marshal......I'm not sure where have you been for ALL THESE YEARS. .....but I have always been told....when you are doing something good they come after you in some sort of negative way. Clemson football had a great and powerful foundation put in place to where it is now golden tradition ...that has lasted throughout the good times and bad through the years. Now after the nation has taken further notice and interest in Clemson football......and now that this Clemson empire is going to get even stronger after winning the National Championship last year.....this is the best that they can do to hinder our fan support. They plant a Fire Marshal in our favorite place where we gather every football season.

Talk about being a hater just so you can get some attention for disrupting something thats went on for years with minimum problems and one big fight Chickenlina had coming to them.

Do we have a name? I am certain this can be corrected by a solid phone in campaign to the governor's office and your local legislator.

Here here .... I think we are at least owed an official explanation . ( then we can organize a protest and find out how to correct this situation .

Did we give up when the Getmans bombed Pearl Harbor ???

The role of a Fire Marshall is to enforce codes. Whether popular or not, it's all about public safety. There's been a transition as of recent, as we've already seen a policy change concerning how fans gather on the field after the game.

give me a break snowflake. Has nothing to do

With public safety

I doubt it is ACTUALLY the fire marshal....

Yes, FM enforces codes, but my guess is that they’ve been instructed to do this if indeed the case. Everything is getting tightened since we made a bid for the NC 2 years ago. Attention brings outsiders, consultants, media, “experts”....clemson now partners with an outside company that pretty much runs all aspects of “day of show”. Ever notice how the sideline passes and end zones have shrunk as well? This place runs like a business...gone are the days of yesteryear...we are champs in a new era of athletics....outsiders run this place now.

They are a joke. Every building i build they always come check the life safety systems which is fine(fire alarm). The thing that is ad is they always bring up crap that cost the GC tons of money. Another inspector everyone hates is the OSF inspectors that work for th state government. Total waste of money and space. Not much there that can burn when the whole #### stadium is made of concrete.

Haha....are you surprised that GCs might skimp on costs at the expense of life safety (look at London). It’s more than fire alarms....building to code is expensive. It’s always a balance of likelihood vs possible severity of injuries vs cost. I guess Hill is same way....”one person getting trampled is too much, scale back 500%!”
