Thoughts on GT game

Aug 31, 2019, 6:37 AM

Just a few things....

I thought the team started rusty but got stronger once they settled.

At times they looked like number 1 but not wrapping up a few times gave GT some easy yards.

TL obviously didnt have his best day. But i think if he just doesnt try to do too much he will be fine and with the talent around him, the numbers will be there. He can really run. Faster than you would think.

ETN is such a great back. The oline looked rusty at first but played well as the game went on.

The team, to me, looks to repeat once they settle in. I think once they hit their stride youll see the offense really explode.

The d line played well minus a handful of expected breakdowns. Im sure that will be fixed with playing time and a tad more experience.

It's a good example of how dominant Clemson is to be able to see flaws in a game where you beat a (used to be) rival by 38 points, while slowing down your offense in the 2nd half.

I do agree with all of your points. Lawrence wasn't fully on his game. But I chalk that up to normal first game rust. He'll have to be more dialed in for A&M.

Good coaching. It showed the entire game.
