Does anyone think our D can be even better this year? At end of last year, I had thought there wasn’t much room to get that much better. But now, think we have a chance to be so disruptive with the front 7, we will demoralize teams. Booth and Goodrich are certainly big CB losses, but many have high hopes for Nate Wiggins to step up.
What do you all think?

So the big unknown is whether or not Coach Streeter can figure how to get the O runnning even at 75% of its potential to take some of the dependency off of the D by the midpoint of the season. If he can do that, we have a chance for a special season. The odds of that happening look bleak though, but teams do catch lightening in a bottle sometimes, so let’s see. My fingers are crossed. And no critical injuries please!

Should be on par with our 2018 team, I see no weaknesses albeit a little inexperience at corner, but we have a lot of options here.

Defense has the Championship caliber feel

I agree -- our defense is going to be fun to watch. Really has that dominant look and feel and I'm very excited to see the new LBs in action.
Of course, we need to offense to not sputter a bunch of series like last year to keep them fresh on D -- I definitely like the depth at QB compared to last year and likes what I saw from Cade in the spring game if DJ doesn't get it done.
I swear it about sent me to the funny farm watching us do great on the first drive and not do anything better until late in the 4th QTR most of the year.

My only worry about the D has to do with recruiting some studs to replace what we will lose after this year.

As long as our D doesn’t get hung out to dry , it’s going to be tough scoring on them.

Not only do I think it can happen, I expect it to. This defense has the feel of the 2014 team.
