This will be unpopular....

But Lamar Jackson, barring something crazy happening, will win the Heisman. He proved tonight that he is the best player in college football. Unfortunately Watson is every bit as capable but just isn't consistently getting it done. The good news is that I believe the Heisman pressure will be off of him and he should relax and play better.
Go Tigers!

They're going to a NY6 bowl at worst.

Have you seen the rest of their schedule? They'll beat Houston something like 65-58 and nobody else will come close.

DW overcame 5 turnovers. Stayed calm, confident, and steady. Tay gave him a chance to shine (no awards can be won without help from your team) and he took advantage. Heisman worthy and front runnerving in my opinion.

Front runnerving is a tad bit better than a front runner.

I would bet the house that if we go undefeated and if Watson continues to put up close to 100 on the ground and 300 in the air for an average he will win the Heisman. Tweet that. Print that. Go Tigers!

Lamar was beating his helmet with his fist and dropping F-bombs after the game. No composure or character. Saw it in the first half and the end of the game.
Watson for Heisman, A Class Act and proven leader!

Lamar had 60 more yards total offense

But Deshaun had 5 TD's to Lamar's 3. Deshaun drove for 2 TD's in the final minutes to win the game. I will take DW$ any day.

Absolutely! DW4 is THE MAN!
L. Jackson is a very shifty player...he can scoot. But, there is no one better than DW4! Especially with the pressure on!
I was thinking two of the INTs that DW4 had...the RRIII and the one in the endzone to MW... that one is on RRIII and the one in the endzone...how does MW NOT come up with that? Or at least break it up? It was behind him, but he had his arms on it too...the defender just wanted it more I guess.
Oh well, Great Win!!!
Go Tigers!!!

If Watson didn't have 3 or 4 turnovers he would be the front runner at this point. I don't think Watson will win unless he starts padding some stats.
I don't think Lamar will win either because he just runs up the score vs inferior opponents.
Idk who will win but it will probably be someone we haven't mentioned yet

More passing yards and the win will look bad.

Not without a National Championship or at least playoff appearance. The guy is all feet and his passing is 80% dump offs to the check down RB wide open - throws you and I can make. He will never start a game in the NFL.

Most importantly, Deshaun led his team to victory. He ran our offense much more efficiently than Jackson did Louisville's, scoring more points on a lot fewer plays. He had a higher completion percentage, more yards passing, more yards per completion, more yards per carry, and had 5 TDs to Jackson's 3. Watson won and Jackson LOST.

Lamar is an arrogant flash in the pan, loud-mouthed high-stepping showboat, which is exactly the type of player the Media love to dote on, but he is very inconsistent. We were in his head and had him on his back the entire first half.
Whereas Deshawn is a much more complete player. He is pure finesse. When we dropped off in the 2nd half, most of it was due to our receivers developing butter fingers and literally tipping balls to the other team and dropping balls to Louisville defenders. Like Dabo said, he can't throw AND catch the ball too.
Deshawn is pure class, but unfortunately I am pretty sure he will never win the Heisman no matter how well the season turns out for him, because he is too humble and grounded.
Also, as someone mentioned, we don't run up the score on other teams like Louisville, albeit, which inflates his stats when the other team has already mentally checked out.
But I will cede that Lamar Jackson would be excellent in the cast of Riverdance or Cirque du Soleil, twisting around and doing double axles like a Magical Fairy in the Nutcracker Suite. LOL But I don't know if they'd be able to take him due to that ugly mug though.
Seriously though, yeah the dude is fast, but everyone is fast in the NFL and that is the only thing that makes him remotely special.
PS: Oh yeah, refs were seriously questionable in this game, letting our receivers get manhandled, especially Mike Williams. I think they more or less completely stopped calling holds and interference after Petrino bitched and moaned over our guys playing rough in the 1st Half. In the 2nd Half, our D-Line was getting tackled to the ground from behind routinely with no calls. And that #### wears a player out.
