Clots are extremely rare with the vaccine (about 4 per million doses). You know what else can cause a clot? Covid 19.

You are far more likely to get a clot from the virus than the vaccine. About 10 times as likely in fact.

Stop with your antivax nonsense.

Jan 3, 2023, 4:25 PM [ in reply to "far more likely to get a clot from the virus " ]

I got pneumonia in my lungs from Covid-19 back in Nov. 2021, which triggered massive blood clot formation (bilateral pulmonary emboli is the exact medical term) in my lungs. My pulmonologist and hematologist both told me there were literally hundreds of clots all throughout my lungs. I stopped breathing at one point, was taken to ER via ambulance, put on a ventilator, and my heart was *thisclose* to arresting, according to my cardiologist. He said I shouldn’t be alive right now. Spent 3 days in ICU and 10 days in the hospital, and to this day I still have breathing issues/scarring from the experience. It’s real. Covid is a beast for some of us.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: "far more likely to get a clot from the virus "

Jan 3, 2023, 4:40 PM

BTW, I will also add that my near-death experience with Covid-19 was 100% due to the fact that, at the time, I was NOT vaccinated. You better believe I am vaxxed and boosted after that! So unless you have a religious objection or other preexisting health reason to preclude getting it, which I’m fine with, please do yourself, your friends, your coworkers, and family (especially if you have kids) a favor and get the shot. If not for you, do it for them. It can save your life. Anaphylactic reactions to the vaccine are EXTREMELY rare, and my condolences go out to anyone who lost any loved one to such a case, but the rare exception does not a rule make. At least for me, I know I want my kids to grow up WITH their father, and to grow old WITH my wife.

Re: "far more likely to get a clot from the virus "

Jan 3, 2023, 5:27 PM

If this is true...and I am not arguing that you are lying, ok...then should not similar warnings be given to all who had COVID to seek out medical care to determine if they carry such clots?

After pneumonia...the clotting would be THE issue, and yet I don't hear this repeatedly pushed by any media source, celebrity or government agency or politician. I saw the Bidens continuing to push a vaccine, but have not heard one source educating the public on the need for detecting any residual blood clots for those who had COVID. Why?

Jan 3, 2023, 11:48 AM [ in reply to Re: Yeah sooooo dumb! ]

As a Ph.D. who has been in medicine for two decades, what you are saying is news to me.

Unless Dunning Kruger is the source.

The facts are that there has been no valid research (meaning rigorus RCTs, Meta-analysis, etc.) into this because many of the vaccine injuries are under reported. Often what happens is that it gets reported as a stroke or MI, but what was the etiology of that stroke/MI? What we have witnessed is an exponential rise in cardiac events, especially in young people, strokes and other embolic related pathologies.

The question is causation vs correlation, but as already mentioned, no real studies are being conducted. Why? Becuase who funds this type of research? Pharma and govt, and who has the most to lose if vaccines are causing this rise in deaths? You do that math.

We really do not know if the clots are related to vaccs or Covid infection, but it is grossly irresponsible to rule out one or the other at this juncture.

What is mind boggling to me, is how people like you have been programmed to believe what the govt and pharma says. You, you are the sheep. It is funny, the people that say trust the science, usually do not know #### about science. Explain p-value to me before telling me to trust the science.

As for the video posted, that would be my leading hypothesis as well; however, I would never declare that in some video where I put my reputation at stake before knowing more of the details; again, irresponsible.

performed itself that was released in the last few months...at least that was the first I saw of it. Research group had 20 deaths to placebo group of 14, and 5 heart attacks in research group vs placebo group of 1. And based off of research similar to this small data sample sets...we have allowed Pfizer to "vaccinate" the world. No wonder Pfizer pushed through an exemption from any vaccine mandates for its employees!

If you think ANY mRNA vaccines are safe...you need your head examined!

Also love the canard that the spike protein in this vaccine will "stay in your shoulder and will not circulate through your body". Oh really? And what if that nurse giving you the injection hits a vein with your shot? That spike protein now is free circulating in your body to go wherever luck takes it. What then?? Nurses have NOT been instructed to prevent this possibility in their administration of these shots. So what is the effect of an unregulated mRNA spike protein circulating within the body? Research that!

If you saw the hit live and in the first replay, it really made sense that the hit might have contributed in some way. Not sure how anyone could jump to any other conclusions regarding underlying conditions or anything else you can’t see, but what you could obviously see was that the guy had just taken a pretty good shot directly to the heart area.

I know a lot of people see what they want to see so if you’re on a vaccine agenda, then maybe that is what you see first as opposed to a hit to the chest.

That has been my point all along. The speculation from all angles last night bothered me. I’m not a doctor so every possibility still has the same likelihood in my mind. Some on here were even speculating that the actions taken and statements made by the league and announcers indicated that they already knew he was dead. That anyone would jump to the worst of conclusions with that little actual information made me sad. The timing of the collapse after the hit could even be coincidental but it would make sense from the timing alone that the hit was in some way a factor.

The only thing that was “glaringly evident” was the hit he took to the chest just before he collapsed. That is all we know for sure. Do you even know for sure he has been vaccinated? Didn’t think so but using the available facts don’t fit the agenda so why confuse the discussion with the one fact that we do know - he got hit in the chest just prior to collapsing. I’m not saying there were or were not any underlying issues, there is no way for us to know from what we saw last night. Vaccine or genetic related and probably others are all possible. But all we know for sure is he got hit in the chest and then collapsed.

You can say it could be whatever you want to say. But as of now, anything beyond he absorbed a hit to the chest, stood up briefly, then collapsed and required CPR and defibrillation is pure speculation and conjecture.

You are insinuating that this incident could have been related to the vaccine, when there is currently zero reason to do so. Myocarditis is a real risk from the vaccine, however, you are leaving out the fact that it's still quite rare, and the cases are acute and not chronic.

That's not specific. I said it could have been the vaccine, and it could have been. You're running wild based on some doctor's YouTube video in which he does an armchair diagnosis.

You put words in my mouth. I said you need to fact check yourself on calling me (and others) out for speaking honestly (saying it *could* have been the jab). Just because you are so invested in being right on "the jab is perfect", doesn't mean you get to make sh*t up.

Re: So we're not allowed to say that it *could* be

Jan 3, 2023, 5:30 PM [ in reply to Re: So we're not allowed to say that it *could* be ]

I'll say this. I have no idea what caused the heart attack, although you could presume that the blow to the chest caused it ..... or perhaps there were other heart issues that he did not know about or where undetected in routine physicals. It does happen. But I will also bet that more young men have suffered from Myocarditis, caused by Covid shots or otherwise, than have had heart attacks from being hit in the chest. In the NFL alone, there are literally thousands of incidences over the years of these players being hit in the chest without having a heart attack. As a young football player, we were taught to tackle putting our facemask into the chest of the ball carrier.

I don't think for a second it was because of a Covid shot, but don't act like it is beyond the realm of possibility.

The fact that anyone can look at anything and immediately make it political

when no one has yet shows how ignorant we are as a society. The Chinese and the Russians don’t have to destroy America. All they have to do is sew enough seeds for us to do it ourselves.

YOU are the one making it political. YOU are the one attaching meaning to the thought that a blood clot created by a still new medical procedure may have been related to this situation.

Look at yourself.

I am the original poster of this thread and in no way mentioned anything about clots. Look at myself indeed! The video I posted said this had nothing to do with clots so perhaps one should look at one’s own self!

You don't know it wasn't caused by the vaccine. No details have been released so please stop speculating.

We were all just speculating last night. At least I know I was. I'm sure this doctor is speculating as well. But, his speculation is based on far more education and experience than I will ever have. I suspect he will be proven correct when all the medical evaluation is done.

Me? I was speculating the following:

1. He had a massive brain aneurysm or a massive heart attack. (I figured brain was more likely.)

2. When they reported that he had been given CPR for 9 minutes, I speculated he was dead.

3. When they reported he was in critical condition at the hospital I speculated (just like was the case with Mike Leach) he was being kept alive by machine while he could be used as an organ donor.

Conclusion: While it is reasonable to speculate to yourself what has happened, just remember you're probably wrong. (I try to remember what I was doing for the 12 hours after the Twin Towers were brought down on 9/11. I was on the net, chatting with several friends in a chat room while we were all watching TV and surfing the net trying to find answers. I heard several irresponsible speculations and conjectures and blaming political leaders for the way they were handling the situation.)

Well said.

1. You know, despite the hit, it reminded me of Hank Gathers on-court death, from hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.

2/3. I also have been thinking about the Leach situation.

People feel entitled to immediate information and, if they don't get it, start spouting off uninformed conspiracy theories. It's unfortunate.

I don't know why anybody would even bring up the vaccine in this case. That's just a totally conspiracy. But I will say the same people that think it is vaccine related are the same people that think the vote was stolen, climate change in a myth, Covid is a hoax, there is a secret cabal, etc. etc. So what should that tell you about the people that believe all those things? People believe in conspiracy theories because they provide a simple and compelling explanation for complex events, and because they can offer a sense of control or belonging to those who embrace them.

You Vax blowers are blind idiots that believe anything you are told. It is proven the Vax is a joke and doesn't do anything to prevent you from getting sick. I know several people who are vaccinated and they have had covid more times than I can count on one hand. I have been around people many times who tested positive later on. I have had it one time and that is it. Look at how many people have died from heart problems caused by this vaccine. You are just blind and want to believe your ignorant liberal views as you are told to by the government. You Vax blowers make me sicker than covid ever did.

Taking the vaccine doesn’t make one a liberal. Y’all forget that the Trump administration was feverishly working to fast track the vaccine and it was actually developed before Biden ever took office. Trump was one of the first to take the vaccine. I know that doesn’t fit your agenda but calling anyone who took the vaccine a liberal is just flat out incorrect. I took the vaccine and I have had it just one time and that was it as well. So does my singular personal experience weigh the same as yours? If not my wife has had the same experience so that makes our data twice as valid better than yours. See how data can be manipulated to make any point? I had some clown on this site tell me my father in law didn’t die from Covid, that the doctors were just telling us fairy tales and calling deaths from other causes Covid. Can that same “logic” be applied to your comments about “how many people have died from heart problems caused by this vaccine” ? Anyone on either side of this discussion can find some “data” to support their view. That’s why I’m staying middle of the road on this until we know more, but calling this conservative Republican a liberal because I took the vaccine proves how little you do know. Please grow up.

Put up or shut up on this one. Show the facts if you have them.

> It is proven the Vax is a joke and doesn't do anything to prevent you from getting sick.

So the fact that it prevents hospitalizations and deaths from the virus means nothing? You, sir, are the joke. A few people you know are probably alive solely due to the vaccine.

> You are just blind and want to believe your ignorant liberal views as you are told to by the government.

Dude. Take a deep deep look at your own life and make sure you aren't literally doing what you are accusing others of.

I don't know why anybody would even rule out the possibility of the vaccine in this case. That's just a totally conspiracy. But I will say the same people are screaming that its not vaccine related are the same people that think the elections are totally secure, climate change can be solved with tax money, Faucci is an honest man, there is a secret cabal named Qanon, etc. etc. So what should that tell you about the people that believe all those things? People believe in conspiracy theories because they provide a simple and compelling explanation for complex events, and because they can offer a sense of control or belonging to those who embrace them.

The people who are saying it isn't vaccine related are actually saying, "why would you even bring it up when their isn't the slightest shred of evidence that it is vaccine related?"

It's like the Baltimore Raven who died in his apartment and the anti-vax conspiracy theorists came out of the woodwork, only to find out it was a run of the mill OD.

I’m not saying it’s vaccine related. I’m simply pointing out that you don’t KNOW it’s not vax related any more than whoever is saying it could be.

The argument doesn’t hold water. That’s my only point.
