This morning I watched.....

.... Marty and Mcgee on my TV while watching Major League Fishing live streaming the tournament on Watts Bar Lake in Tennessee. (Andy Montgomery off to a good start, BTW.) I'm still watching the tournament as I type this.

I know y'all are real fond of Marty and Mcgee. But, I just want to point out that my credit rating in the good-ole-boy category has gone way up.

Watching guys catch bass while listening to two guys talk about the difference between casual mode and sport mode for crocs while sitting at a campground on Lake Lure with a guy cooking breakfast on grill in the background.

on Watts Bar Lake. I fished with my father, grandparents, uncles and friends when we cut school. During the summer months I would run the five miles to the local beach and swim. I met the children's mother at a resort there called Newport back then.

Back in the 1950s and early '60s my grandfather would load everyone up in his car and drive past the ### to Dayton, TN just so we could cross the river in the ferry. After crossing over we went to Hwy 58 and north toward Kingston the made the 10 mile trip from Kingston back home.

I moved back to TN for a decade after the woman ran me off. :) I had some good times then too.

Right now I wouldn't eat a fish out of Watts Bar, Chickamauga or the Tennessee River. It's as contaminated as Hartwell. I fished Ocoee/Parksville Lake which is near as clean as Jocassee.
