related. I just didn't know what forum to post this in. Anyway, does anyone know anything about Maryville College in Maryville, Tennessee? They have offered my grandson a scholarship to play football, and they want him to come up and visit. I know they are division III, but that's about all I know. I've checked out their website, but I was wondering if anyone personally knew anything about the school.

TennTom, just guessing from the name, you would probably be familiar with a Tennessee school. Can you offer some insight? I know Maryville is a liberal arts school, but just how liberal does it lean? Does it maybe have a strong Christian foundation?

I think that a majority of schools are liberal arts, and even those that aren't probably offer a preponderance of Liberal Arts classes. After all English, history, foreign language, sociology, art, music, and more are under the liberal arts department. The question is, what are they teaching in those classes? There are probably only a handful of colleges and universities that haven't been overwhelmed by the leftists agenda.

The college was founded by a Presbyterian minister and continues that connection (PC USA) and tradition. I would think if that is what you are looking for it would be a terrific choice for you grandson. I have friends in Maryville and it is a nice community just outside of Knoxville.

Just searched online for "Maryville College, Maryville, TN" and quite a few links came up to explore,
as well as several videos providing visual tours of the campus, plus a long video about the football team.
