It used to be the us would wage war with you if you didn’t sell your oil cheap on the international market. Now the fundamental principle is you have to support LGBTQP

Or eat bugs and starve.

What economy? Their GDP is 1/6 of South Carolina's.***

at the same time. We're capable of basing economic sanctions on more than one principle. Human rights violations are certainly a qualifier for sanctions.

Now do China.***

Gosh, I wonder if there's any nuance between

US-China trade relations and US-Uganda trade relations. Nah, probably not. I think you've uncovered some blatant hypocrisy in the completely binary global trade/sanctions space!

Which country has killed more of its own citizens?

Which country is currently practicing genocide?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Both. I'm not sure why this is a competition.

Mar 24, 2023, 10:41 AM

It's horrific in both instances.

Then

which country is the larger human rights abuser, and more deserving of sanctions?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

We're going in circles here.

Mar 24, 2023, 2:34 PM

They both deserve it. There are definitive economic reasons only one of them are getting the sanctions they deserve, and you would be screaming about Biden crippling the economy if he sanctioned China. Instead, you have a problem with sanctioning a country that WON'T cripple our economy, presumably because you think it's under the guise of some woke ideology. Uganda is literally sentencing people to death for being gay. Are you claiming that's ok, or acceptable?

This is the transformation they are pushing.

-Physical acts of violence are washed over and forgiven.

-Wrong ideas are punishable by death

Freed?

Who wants to jail political opposition without speedy trials or due process?

Are you referring as to why Hockey Stick guy (Michael Foy) is still awaiting trial? What do you think his defense will be?

To be clear (and this isn't new)...

The Democrats are brilliant when it comes to keeping their sheep fixated on the shiny object while their meaningful policy initiatives continue to crash and burn.

The Democrat sheep well-up with pride when their leaders ‘take time to do what’s right’ during these turbulent times!

LGBTQ policy initiatives are the trick that always fools the sheep.

In the meanwhile, the really huge numbers of human rights abuses in P.R.China go unabated … because if the Biden admin ever got tough, then PRC would spill the rest of the Biden family briberies. The loyal sheep, however, remain loyal, reverting to their time honored tactic of prevarication … because no other defense tactic exists.
