all recruiting services said he was a Clemson lean, he never gave us an official visit. That he said earlier in his recruitment he wanted to play for a champion/winner, but excluded us is strange, Only Dabo and his staff know the answer. I harbor no iill feelings against a recruit that “follows his heart” and goes where he has always wanted to go. But, why didn’t he sign a LOI last Wednesday? I still think he will up be being a Coot, but, his not signing makes the GA, LSU and Alabama recruiters become like a hyena’s they smell blood, and they are going to go after it.
This will be interesting.

I agree with all points except "Only Dabo and his staff know the answer".
I'm not sure Burch knows the answer.
David Hood said this was the strangest/oddest recruitment of a player he can ever remember on a few days before signing day. As if that wasn't enough, he didn't sign the LOI within the window and now has to wait till February.
I'm sorry, but something feels real shady about this one. I'm guessing we backed off long ago when the warning signs popped up.

The staff visited his basketball game just day’s before early signing, so I don’t think Clemson backed off until the 11th hour.

Seems to me Muschump may have told him not to sign until after the first of the year so they don’t can him when his buyout goes down after the New Year. Chump playing a leverage point against his own admnistration

4paws is right. He is nothing but a Mama's boy drama queen. If it were up to me, I wouldn't take him if he came to Clemson on his knees, begging to be a Tiger. He would wind up being trouble and disrupting our locker room. Great player ... but also good riddance.

SCar will throw him on the field very early and he'll get exposed. He's raw, so much so that he disappeared at times against the weakest caliber of competition in the state... and in Hammond's featured out-of-state matchup against a school from PA on ESPN, he was physically whipped multiple times by waaay smaller OL, literal unknowns on the recruiting trail. I think there was an element of fear in his avoiding us, fear of competing against the likes of Bresee, Murphy, Cape, etc.
