Think about our RBs this season

Feb 13, 2015, 1:14 PM

Gallman
Dye
Choice
Brooks
Ray Ray? (Maybe some carries)

Scary for opponents.
Who do you guys think will carry most of the load ?

Dye

I think he is tired of sitting and ready to tear it up. And with his size, he can be a bruiser and not be beaten up by the end of the season. It's been a long time since we had someone like him with both the size and speed. And hopefully our o-line can create some holes.

Knows play book, doesn't fumble, blocks and catches passes.

DW4 will be the franchise - whoever is in the backfield will be a #### good blocker and willing / capable of picking up blitzes and stunts.

I don't understand all this wooing over choice. I'm not at all saying he is a bad back, but I see far too many people In love with him and so far I don't see why. So far, he hasn't really impressed . Gallman has at least shown he is durable and a decent back . He will only get stronger. Brooks will definitely be in the mix if he can get game ready. And dye... Well... I'm not convinced he will stay healthy enough to contribute much.

McCloud is the real mystery... That'll b interesting.

Choice really impressed me in his time.

Feb 13, 2015, 2:48 PM

I thought he was well on his way to being the clear #1 before he went down. He's a guy that hits the hole quickly and then can hit the next gear in open space.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Me too. That's why Coach Elliott had him ahead of Gallman

until he got hurt.

Hard to say. It will be a committee...

Feb 13, 2015, 1:47 PM

Choice is my favorite. But I don't know how he'll respond to the injury. Dude looked smooth.

You forgot CJ Fuller.

Gallman is a good choice for most carries. Then Dye, Brooks, Davidson, then Fuller. I think Choice could be anywhere on the list.

I think Ray Ray is a receiver.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yes it will ... Lots of situational substitutions

Feb 13, 2015, 2:17 PM

Perhaps even two back sets.

Gallman, Books and Ray Ray can start in backfield and shift outside to WR.

Thinking Dye and Choice on short yardage.

Playing time will be reduced if any RB has fumbles, fails to block, drops passes or misses assignments.

Ain't it cool?!!

Feb 13, 2015, 2:23 PM

Seriously how long has it been since we had this many interchangeable weapons in the backfield? I love the endless possibilities of personal/package choices!

I think a lot of it will have to do with the O Line. With a great recruiting line coming in, I believe Clemson will have a great running game once again, which has been missing the past couple of seasons.
I am excited about the next couple of seasons. I believe we are on the brink of a national championship. We have the talent and the coaching staff to make it happen! I hope to see us develop our TEs and get them more involved in the game. We have talented backs and receivers. The tight ends need to step things up.

Gallman has really won me over!

Feb 13, 2015, 2:29 PM

I was always the guy waiting for a bigger back like Choice and Dye, but man, Wayne the Pain Train is the real deal.

He has got to be in the top 2 or 3 toughest guys on this team. Once he started setting up his blocks a little better, he really exploded and I expect HUGE things from him this year.
