It’s no doubt free agency now with zero restrictions, if I were in the NFL I’d try to go back to college lol

hopefully he will strategically leverage that "comprehensive NIL

Not a good look for sure

Welcome to the new college football. Unless you went to Texas or Tamu or USC, or are a lawyer/agent, it sucks.

That means almost all of the fans will eventually lose interest in college football unless someone can pull a rabbit out of their hat.

Look at what happened when money got into NASCAR

It’s never been the same and hard to say if it’ll ever be watchable again. Hoping the same doesn’t happen to college football.

At least in the NFL they have salary caps to keep things

somewhat at a level playing field so that a rich guy like Jeff Bezos can't just buy a Super Bowl team. Unfortunately college football is about to go into the toilet because there are no real or enforceable rules in place to govern the flow of money to "student" athletes. The original intent of NIL was to fairly compensate those players whose NIL was being used to make money for everyone but the student. NIL was also intended to allow student athletes to make money while in college like any other student using their entrepreneurial talents.

As we all suspected would happen, the original intent of NIL is being twisted into a pay for play scheme through these "crowdsourced donation clubs" where an athlete is given a ridiculous paycheck for some bare minimum promotional activity just to keep it "legal". These donation clubs are nothing more than public bagmen that raise money to pay players to come to their school with no expectation of making a monetary profit from the partnership. It is pay for play and if this is what NIL is going to be then I won't be a supporter or viewer of college athletics for much longer.

Back to Oklahoma...The idea that the OU starting QB (and by all indications will be the starter again next year) of an 11-2 team that is the Big XII conference champion most years is thinking about the TP is very telling. Tells me that someone from outside OU is making overtures to the young man and he is listening. Also tells me something about Caleb Williams and for someone of my upbringing that "something" ain't good...

Dabo said he would leave College Football if it ever turned into Free Agency... Well it is here now. he knew this was coming years ago.

Now the NCAA is a useless cash scam org that does nothing but pocket large sums of cash and allowed this mess by bending the knee to California passing the first NIL laws. California, a failing state with terrible policies, whose citizens are fleeing, set ALL this in motion.

Never let liberals set policy. This mess of corruption is what we have now.
