Does not mean that it isn't still the best conference.....the idiots don't even realize that winning in the bowls games has been one of their main arguments for the sec for years.
They have been exposed!

every bowl game. The SEC probably is still the best conference but with all the teams playing over their heads they couldn't expect to win a fair share of the games.

SEC lost so many bowl games. They touted the SEC teams at least seven spots higher in the polls than they deserved to be and pushed all the teams upward into bowls against opponents that embarrassed them.

The SEC is like all other conferences...you get past Alabama and Auburn they are mediocre, except for UGA every once in a while...in the ACC you have us, FSU and GT, in the Big 10, OSU and Wisc, the PAC 12 has Oregon and Arizona, USC and it goes on and on...there is a financial stake in the narrative ESPN plays up, but ESPN to the non SEC fan is a fricking joke. And now there is a playoff, we may not see an SEC national champ for years to come...the hilarity of the whole scenario are the USuC fans chanting SEC SEC like high school kids and in reality the conference is just a bunch of losers when you get past the top 2 or 3.

And ESPN pushing SEC teams higher than they deserve is EXACTLY what fans of other teams have been complaining about for several years now. And better teams outside the SEC have suffered because of it; now it's time to enjoy the "mighty" being exposed.
They have their top tier teams but many of the others wouldn't fair any better in the other Power 5 conferences.
