I believe that this was the same dirtbag referee who tried to steal the game from Clemson last year while playing Maryland in the NCAA tournament. He allowed Maryland to get away with murder last year. Clemson was fortunate to win that game anyway with a similar imbalance of fouls called while ignoring egregious Maryland penalties.

Against Denver, there were two really bad calls toward the end of the game where he called fouls on Clemson players (one in the box and one just outside) when they were clearly not. A foul against the Denver player in the box (as it should have been as the Clemson player was chop blocked) would have resulted in a penalty kick - and likely a completely different outcome.
