There is no way most of these players who have signed

NIL agreements are getting paid very much. Don't get me wrong, I don't blame them at all for doing it, because any income as a college student is a good thing.
But let's keep in mind that non-superstar players who have signed endorsement deals with no-name companies aren't making very much.

I imagine that’s true for all non-Clemson athletes.

money that WILL be made by star players is going to breed resentment among those who are NOT getting paid. Star running back or QB gets a chunk, offensive line that blocks for them gets nada. It would make me resentful if I were in that situation, so I guarantee 18-21 year old kids will be thusly affected.

I am already seeing players getting all types of things.
But I think that yeah eventually the market will be oversaturated.

As I said, I don’t blame the players, because any cash you can make in college is meaningful.
I just don’t think most will make anything substantial. As someone else said, a lot of players are going to be pretty disappointed that they aren’t “reppin’ da bling” as much as they thought they would.

its the hassle and the distraction that this will cause these guys. They're kids for goodness sake. not to mention the sleazeballs that will be soliciting these kids on the daily.

programs are implementing people who will specialize in getting these players fast cash now. From local companies, social media, building "brands" etc. It'll largely replace their focus on schoolwork.

of a 35 year old than that of a 19 year old. At 19 the "long game" was not on my radar. The here and now was on my radar. MAking a quick hundy doing an appearance at the local knickerbocker would have far outweighed studying for a test when i was 19. Yet that quick hundy does not trump a passing grade in Statistics in the long run.
Yes these kids are perceived and billed as adults b/c we are trying to teach them to start thinking as adults but there are and will be countless stories of conniving adults that try to make a buck of a naive kid without any regard for the kid. And this will no doubt happen now that we've thrown them to the wolves. It'll take about 5 years before we figure out how to regulate this thing better. There will be some real casualties in this first test group unfortunately. Kids getting lied to, kids not making grades and foregoing college and trying to go pro prematurely, etc.
Some kids will go into this with good guidance and a head screwed on straight but the majority will probably get so wrapped up in it that they'll end up trashing their futures to make a quick buck. The scholarship athlete process was intended to get a kid through school with a degree first so that when football ends for the 97% that don't play pro they'll be set up for success. This NIL stuff will really dampen the prospects of achieving that

That is not necessarily true. You can not be very good at football but have a ton of followers in a social media platform. Those pay big money. The projected big money person from NIL is not even a football player. It is a female gymnast that has 1.1 million followers on Instagram. She post modeling bathing suits all the time and I bet some swimwear companies have already banged on that door not to mention 1 million followers on Instagram can mean a 6 figure if not 7 figure salary.
