The Wheels Are Falling Off...

Wow. Just watched Brandon Streeter's postgame interview. Man, he looked like he could have punched David Hood in the face - that look of rage; that stare; that awkward silence. David asked a simple question "Did they ever consider putting Cade in?" and Streeter's mask came off.
When the coaching staff loses their poise like this - when faced with a simple question - you KNOW that there are some deep-seated issues. Streeter is out of his element and he just showed it to the world.
This staff needs to stop jerking Cade in and out of games willy-nilly; the optics are simply put - detrimental to the team. I am not a coach and I do not know what they see at practice, but I have watched film on Cade and he is a baller. He processes faster and has a better arm. Dropped passes don't get dropped when the ball is placed with the correct tempo and accuracy. He is a quicker, more elusive runner.
When DJ has the ball, it's like a HOT POTATO!! He has to get rid of it as fast as possible. When Cade has the ball, he is holding it, hiding it, and thinking of the best place for the ball to go. Watch Cade's masterful handoff to Shipley in the Syracuse game. He holds the ball like a sleight-of-hand artist, making the DE hesitate just enough for Shipley to get by for a touchdown. How the quarterback handles the ball is so important in selling a fake.
Dabo needs to right the ship - and fast. DJ has had more that enough opportunities and chances to prove his worth. Great kid, but it is just not there.
Cade should start and play for the rest of our games; we have nothing to lose, and only experience to gain. DJ had more than enough opportunities, and he has failed.
The wheels are falling off and Cade is the spark that can get this team rolling again. Tough choices, but that's why Dabo makes the BIG bucks.

Did you even bother to read what he wrote? I’ll add to it, a literal brawl broke out on our own sidelines. Not against coots, against each other. Tucker Israel called out DW5 on TWITTER! Basically saying it was his fault. That’s wheels coming off, not off yet. Still time to pull over and lock them down right before real damage is done

Yes with all that terrible play we are still 10-2.

Not saying we don’t need to make changes. But wheels aren’t falling off. 9-3 team is about to be in the sec championship game. Ohio state hasn’t played anyone all year and finally does and gets their ### handed to them. We need to make changes. And my mother in law who is not a Clemson fan and doesn’t know a lot about football asked me why we didn’t take DJ out. We should have. It was obvious DJ was getting worse and Rattler was getting better. We should have made a change or just freaking ran. Hate being one dimensional but the passing was awful especially in the fourth but 10-2 is not wheels falling off.

True. Maybe I should have said "The Wheels Are Starting to Fall Off" because if changes aren't made at QB the wheels WILL fall off. If the coaches aren't accountable, the wheels WILL fall off.
I can't image what it's like for the coaches to try to keep morale up with the team (with the influences of social media). I just hope that they make the tough decisions and right choices so that the wheels DON'T fall off.

Yes. Because this team has the talent to be 12-0. With the current offensive schemes and personnel we don't deserve to be in the CFP; we would be embarrassed.
Any time you have wasted potential and you are not developing talent, the wheels start to come off. Watch Streeter's response to David's question - that very unnerving glare is an indicator of some internal issues (within the person or the staff).
We have some of the most talented players in the nation and it is a shame that we are not using them, teaching them, coaching them to their full potential.
Yes, we are 10-2 and winning is winning, but the wins have been ugly, where they could have been blow outs with different personnel playing - bluntly, with Cade playing he brings a spark to this team - an energy that other players feed off. DJ is just flat most of the time, with a few moments of brilliance.
Cade needs to start and play for the rest of our games. Nothing to lose.

Like you, I too enjoy an extra foamy and warm Coors Light served by a toothless waitress after waiting 30 minutes.

hot potatoe is an excellent analogy.
I can’t stand how he flips the ball over and over before he makes a decision. I’ve seen that behavior cause at least three turnovers this season. ANY QB COACH IN THE COUNTRY would break that habit.

Being a CEO is hard (I was one for six years). After a while, you lose your ability to make decisions that are best for the organization, and start focusing on individuals (DJ). Unfortunately, that’s where Dabo is. Time to move on Dabo, DJ MUST be demoted, or the slow spiral down WILL CONTINUE.

Dabo has surrounded himself with “yes men” that he’s let loiter around for far too long. I’m sure all is smiles and high-fives and talk about “we’ll get ‘em next year” in the Operations Building this morning.

Try again. Here is our record the last 13 years.
9-5, 6-7, 10-4, 11-2, 11-2, 10-3, 14-1, 14-1, 12-2, 15-0, 14-1, 10-2, 10-3.
We are are 10-2 this year and my old old eyes are not great but I only see 1 undefeated year and this season very well with the last 13.

Two years could have been even better. The ACCcg is not looking good. Looks like it’s the Cheeze-it Bowl again.

We play in a very bad conference, where, with the talent we have, if we’re not winning at least 9 a year, we’ve dramatically underperformed. The teams we’ve fielded the last two years, would get boat raced by any team QB’d by Watson, Lawrence, and probably Bryant. It’s fine to go by the final record as a measure of this team, if that’s your measure of success, but if we hope to compete for championships (National, not ACC), the product on the field needs to be much better than what we’ve seen by the nepotism that fills our coaching staff.

There's an old saying in football, "Don't let the same team beat you twice."
The tigers need to get it together or that's about to happen.
