Since the season is over

Sep 26, 2021, 6:53 PM

I feel it’s OK to speak my mind now about what’s going on with Clemson. Love my tigers , love what Dabo has done for the program, he’s taking us to places I never could imagine. I had to remind coot who was ragging me yesterday that we’ve been to six straight playoffs, he did not believe me.

What we’re seeing now, however is a major problem in the program. Complacency, nepotism, yes-man syndrome, and a little bit of laziness and denial from the coaching staff. DJ was a very different player last year. Our oline has never been so bad. Running back room is a mess, wide receiver room is a mess. Nobody blocks, No leadership and, nobody cares. This doesn’t happen overnight, we’ve lost three of our last four games against FBS opponents. This hasn’t happened since 2009. Unfortunately the season will end very badly for us. What is the answer? I really don’t know. We are following the same pattern of decline of dynasties in college football. FSU, Miami, USC, Nebraska come to mind. I hope things will be different in the future, but right now it looks pretty bleak

I never thought I would say this. But the way things look on offense and with the recent injuries I will take a 7 win season and a bowl game right now.

We can still win the division and then the conference but obviously we have to improve drastically. There will be no Playoff spot this year but maybe that is ok because we are fat and need to be hungry again. I watched parts of the Ga. Tech - UNC game yesterday and it was just refreshing to see the Tech kids give their heart and soul to winning and having fun doing it. Somehow Dabo has to put fun back into football at Clemson and what better time to do it than now.
