to push that TD as an incomplete pass. The Eagles WR caught it, leaped for the TD and the ball pops out as he is rolling into the End Zone. Then he catches it in mid air, after it popped out of his possession, in the End Zone. Hence, "CONFIRMED", you Brady enthusiasts. TD no matter what the case was to be. No more to it than that.

I agree. It was a TD but the one in the first was not. He did not have control of the ball with both feet in bounds. His last step was out of the endzone.

The recatch is actually insignificant. There's only two scenarios here

1) he completed the process of the catch and then broke the plain before fumbling. Result is a TD
2) he was still in the process of completing the catch and the ball came out as he hit the ground. Result is incomplete pass
I think it was obvious that #1 was the case here because he caught the ball, took several steps, and then dove for the EZ. That was definitely a "football move" or whatever that nonsense is.

When going into the enzyme the ground cannot cause a fumble anymore. You have to maintain control of ball.

they kept saying it was even in question. He took 4 steps with the ball before crossing the goal. Whatever happened after was gravy. Maybe they were just bored and wanting to stir something for the commercial break. Weird.

Nevertheless I despise both teams and since the Eagles qb is a good story and he's a very good person I'm kind of glad they won.
