Bad evaluation of players.

Nov 18, 2021, 10:23 AM

I think missed evaluations is some of the problem. Not bashing anyone because it happens. No doubt this is the case with the O-line. The tackles have been pretty good but not the interior. The WR talent is questionable as well. Not saying they are bad but when comparing them to past talent they are not as good. The Collins boys seem to have some talent. The TE position is hard to evaluate. Not sure if it's talent or scheme. Not sure what is going on with the QB play. I think it's a combination of bad protection and WR play and also the scheme. DJ looks so uncomfortable. His pocket awareness and decision making needs improvement. Of course his accuracy needs major work. They have hit on some future studs on the defensive side of the ball. Go Tigers.

We are a very young team & most of the ACC are very experienced teams, we need development of talent, we will get there but it will be next season before we look 100% better.

I agree. Next year's team won't resemble this team thankfully.

I think people aren't giving this enough credit. When most of your team is 18 and 19 year olds and they are competing against full grown 23 and 24 year old 5th/6th years they are at a significant disadvantage

Yes, the two best ACC Atlantic teams this year also happen

When not injured, EJ Williams is very good.

The problem with our WRs is injuries. Ladson, Ross,

Nov 18, 2021, 10:41 AM

E.J. Williams, Ngata, and Ajou have all been held out of action off and on due to injuries. Ladson has missed most of the season. Ross, Ngata and Ajou have had weeks where at least two of those three were out at the time.

We currently have 15 players "out" for our game Saturday. No team in the ACC is close to having 15 players out for injuries at the same time.

I'm sorry

but this response is much too reasonable, level-headed, and logical. I'm thoroughly disappointed that you're not ruled by blind emotion.

I agree with sgatiger... such boringly analytical and sensible posts have little place on TNet.

Please keep it up!

With all these injuries, are we back to having issues with our strength and conditioning?

Coaching, Coaching and Coaching......

Nov 18, 2021, 12:25 PM

When I look at the recruiting history of Wake Forest, one should wonder, how can they possibly compete - same goes for Boise State in past years. Stars are based on talent potential; if you can coach up a 2 star player to outplay a 4-5 star player (or team of 4 star players), then, what could that coaching staff do with 4-5 stars?

I Remember A No Star Player....

named Hunter Renfro schooling two 5 Star players at Alabama named Partick Surtain and Minkah Fitzpatrick . Stars are a rating...earning those stars on the field is everything .
