The point that Taisun does not give us the best chance to win is just ridiculous.

How does dabo know he won’t? Because of what he sees in practice? Obviously how you perform in practice doesn’t always translate over to real game performance. Just ask DJ. You never know what you got till the real test.

We’ve seen him play in games for 2 years and he’s a turnover machine. Plays with a ton of nerves and gets shook easy, every snap he’s played since GT opener his freshman year. And the point everyone keeps making about the spring game is a joke, dude played terrible for 3.5 quarters and had one good drive because Ajou Ajou made plays to make him look better— if TP is the answer, jeesh I don’t even wanna know the question.

Bottom line is Dabo has made his decision and he's not changing it. Right or wrong. It's just how he rolls when it comes to DJ and TE. Now let another player make a mistake and they are snatched out before they can say IPTAY, not DJ. I never thought I would see this narrow mindedness from Dabo but hey...he's all ours.

So the “fans” are willing to lose more games experimenting with QBs? As soon as you crack 7 figures for your opinions, please tell us more. Geez…

We are going to loose them anyway with DJ. We have had a top 10 recruiting class for the last 7 years. This is a coaching problem and for Dabo to send TJ out there for the optic that he is tring is way below the belt. Does Dabo think the fans are going to buy it, some might. DJ is a ggood QB, but not at this level. He would be more suited for division 2 football. Not all 4 or 5 stars make it to this level and not all good college players make it to the NFL. I am wondering , did DJ wear his sparkle cleets at midnight throwing the ball around. Did anyone else notice that he had on the only sparkle cleets on the team. Dabo needs to make some changes at QB or with Tony Elliot. People say well he called plays when we won 2 Natys, yes but Jeff Scott was there too, we are stuck with with Elliot for life or until Dabo makes a change with his brilliant coach, run left, run right, run up the center then PUNT. GREAT play calling. When a few players start going through the portal and when a few recuits do ther Letter of intent with others then maybe changes will be made. My opinion.... The real people, I hope that are in Dabos face are the plus One million dollar donars. This is all optics, one last thing. I wonder what Dabo promised DJ to come to Clemson.

If I had to pick one then it is certainly going to be DJ. I do think that he gives us the best chance to win. However, when DJ is struggling, I think that Taisun should get a chance. I think that it could be good for both parties. DJ could get a different perspective, and I have to think that TP would run the zone read better than DJ (maybe some of the plays that look like a zone read are really straight hand offs). During film study, they would have the opportunity to discuss why they made the decisions they made with each other and the good or bad of the outcome.

I just rewatched the Spring game on You Tube and if you honestly look at the entire 4 th quarter you have to admit TP has some ability. He led 2 beautiful drives , threw several strikes , improvised, and looked very composed. He deserves a chance when DJ is struggling to this degree.

I agree, but he looked awful before then. DJ looked great against ND and BC last year.. I don’t know what the answer is. I think there may be times that TP may be able to come in and provide some spark. Then again, I am definitely no FB coach.

You must mean a chance to win “better”, right? Because

the scoreboard showed a “W” last night.
I’m not personally opposed to giving Taisun a series if we have a decent lead, but I honestly don’t think the staff is fully confident about his Achilles recovery just yet.
Just my opinion.

I think if they would at least let him play a series or two it would maybe show everyone that he either isn’t the answer or that he is a good backup. Perhaps shake up DJ. I feel like DJ may not be the most popular person on the team. I find it hard to believe not one receiver or back wanted to workout with him after the game. Is it because he was doing it for the cameras and they didn’t want to be part of a staged showing, or do they not like him? Something is strange about what’s going on. And you can see it’s wearing on Dabo. GO TIGERS!!!!
