The only time I remember Clemson fans throwing

anything on the field was the Puntrooskie game. Deon Sanders was taunting the crowd and I believe there were some cups and other trash thrown his way from the student section.

I remember this because my dad got upset and exclaimed "Don't be like those yankees up north. We don't throw batteries at Santa." He was very upset and embarrassed.

The only other time I remember things being thrown on the field was oranges for the Orange Bowl.

I remember a game in the early 2000s

When we lost to Virginia at the last second. I was sitting in the upper deck and I distinctly remember a lot of booing (maybe it was a bad call? Don’t recall) And seeing a program hurled from far up from the upper deck and fly down to the lower deck where it may have struck someone

for a game where stuff was tossed in anger from 99-03. Then there was a game where they gave us some card and paper airplanes were made.

We threw Oranges on the field in 1981 at Billy Brice. It was great. Orange pulp scattered everywhere in the north end of the football field.

Then on to Miami :)

Zero bars in 1999. Of course they were celebratory in nature to commemorate a winless season for the coots. But I don’t think any were hurled in anger at players.
