These “$uper recruiting cla$$e$” lose to teams that have players that just wanted to play college football. I really do think this whole buy your college team philosophy is going to fade once they realize that you cannot guarantee wins by paying 18-22 yr olds. A lot of these kids are gonna screw their whole lives up with that kind of money at that age, along with their teams. I thing aTm is going to crash and burn under all this financial pressure to perform. It’s not like Nick Saban is going to forget how to coach. He was spanking people with Michigan State back in the day. If/when Jimbo Fisher and Lincoln Riley don’t deliver one of the most impressive seasons in college football history, this whole thing is gonna implode.

"buy" Championships. They have been doing it for a hundred years or more, all the way back to when they bought pitcher George Herman Ruth from the Boston Red Sox. No reason to think it cannot be done in college football, as long as the high $$$ bought talent is developed by a great coaching staff.
The old saying "It ain't about the X's and O's, it's about the Jimmies and Joes" will be proven again, if one team manages to buy a marked advantage in talent from top to bottom. Then, and only then, either some sports governing body, or the ACTUAL Government, will step in and try to bring some sanity to this out of control spending spree that is the current NIL.
