The money that Clemson is paying Coach Riley...

I believe in the long run he will be a steal. It will be a bargain if he stays all 3 years. I do believe he will be successful and, much like other coaches, eventually leave to be a Head Coach at some point. I truly believe the 1.75 million plus bonuses will be worth the investment.

Furthermore, I believe Coach Riley wants to be at Clemson and he chose Clemson as much as Clemson chose him. I feel certain other schools offered him as much or more to be their OC. Certainly, TCU wanted him to stay and probably offered him a hefty pay raise to stay. Texas A&M probably offered him the bank to come before Petrino did. There have been reports he was wanted by numerous power 5 schools. However, he chose Clemson. He chose to be a part of the Paw.

Saban, though many of his are reclamation projects, and Dabo. Both have their own ways. Both ultra successful. Dabo's way has been unique, so people seek to understand how he has done it.

Kirby could get there, but not yet. Leach was a guy coaches gravitated towards. But right now, it's Nick and Dabo.
