Dabo as usual was right on que defending DJ as well as himself in deciding to do so. Never mind Streetet, he’s just a little female dog doing and saying what it’s told. All of Dabos love, compassion and the holy rah rah prevents him from being the guy he sometimes needs to be, like it or not Sabin and Smart can be, and more than not are. Sure Dabos won championships, but so could Elmer Fudd with the talent on the ‘16 and ‘18 teams. The difference in the before mentioned is that they would have won four or more in the same time frame.
Look, DJ is obviously a Clemson guy, and most likely always will be. He’s certainly “all-in” and committed so we will always love him for that but if you can’t see the difference in the past two years plus the first three quarters of last nights game and Cades FIRST on the field experience, you really don’t need to be coaching football. I think Dabo and staff technically work for the AD so maybe that guy can grow up too and give them some proper motivation? Just as the evaluation of the QB goes you have to look at the entire picture. If that was the second unit or later that came in with Cade, then not only is Dabo and Streeter failing to put the better QB out there, they are failing on evaluating the entire offense. Pathetic line play, receivers that can’t catch, backs going the wrong way and a QB that can’t look off his primary. I know Dabo, you and Streeter have only had eight months to put this together, guess we just need some more time and reps?
Having a big job has a lot of tough decisions that have to be made and sometimes those decisions hurt feelings but that’s what you’re paid to do. WE pay money to Clemson to help support you, you are supposed to support Clemson by taking our money and making all the right decisions. At this point in the conversation you are failing in the latter. See if your doctor can prescribe you a mean pill, lay outa church a couple Sundays, do something because this ain’t working. Yea, you won, but you better be realistic, I mean really realistic, about where the majority of these coveted wins have come from and if it could have happened anywhere else but Clemson? Do your JOB!

It's almost always the lowest common denominator of folks "who can't" that criticize and know best.
Self reflection is not a strong suit among these types of people and typically everyone else is to blame for their problems.
I checked the boards last night and it was sad man. The hate and vitriol towards certain players and coaches was absolutely ridiculous. I also found it quite interesting that quite a few of those posters were also ones that have continually "backed"/supported/made excuses for CBB and his actual failures.

I like your blanket statement on paying to be on this site. What about all the people who feel entitled to tell people how to do their job just because they donate money to a school?
Please don’t confuse that yutz with someone like me, who enjoys most of your posts.
Entitlement is a cancer where some people think they deserve excessive resources and possessions at the expense of a population. The people with all the wealth and power now are running us into the ground.

He did exactly what you mentioned, "What about all the people who feel entitled to tell people how to do their job just because they donate money to a school?" Which was the point of my response, no matter what he gives to Clemson Football financially, he'll never have as much time, energy, sweat, blood, or emotion invested as our coaches and players. For the record, I'm cool with anyone posting, pay, don't pay, everyone's situation is different. We can all contribute to this community, even if money isn't involved. Share fish pics, boat pics, pics of your grands, stories about your life, it's all cool. I say post and let post, however...
If a poster is going to say things like, "WE pay money to Clemson to help support you", but goes on a site, where he has an option to pay money to support but doesn't, he may get criticized. And if he is going to say "Having a big job has a lot of tough decisions that have to be made and sometimes those decisions hurt feelings but that’s what you’re paid to do.", you would think they would have the awareness to see that Dabo's is making a tough decision, and it is hurting feelings. Unfortunately, it's his feelings that are getting hurt.
In summary, don't bring up money/support if you don't want it brought up, he opened that door.

I agree with you, but I have no problem discussing inequality and the damage it does.
I feel entitled to nothing from this site or Clemson Athletics, or anything in general except the air and water and food I consume, but I realize I may not have picked up on your signature style on that post.

You win the award for possibly the worst take on Clemson Football I've seen in the last decade. Were you around for the days when we were happy to get 6 wins and the only thing that determined a successful season was whether we beat USuCk?
Dabo built this team. He recruited all those players, and he earned every single win. When I was at Clemson I could never have dreamed that we would be having the success we have today. You are really whining about 6 straight playoff appearances and the 2nd best Playoff record second only to Alabama? Yes, last year was disappointing, but Dabo and DJ still won 10 games.
We've watched this process play out before with both Watson and Lawrence and the last time we did it we won the National Championship. GT was an obvious start for DJ. Opening conference game on the road.... you play the guy who won 10 games last year over the freshman with no game experience... period. It worked. DJ led the team to 34 points, which was more than enough to win. Klubnick will get his shots the next two weeks and I suspect he will be splitting snaps with DJ by the Wake game. The process works. We've seen it play out before.

Worst post ever. One series in the 4th quarter against a winded and demoralized defense isn’t enough to make a switch. Let the coaches coach. Dabo proved with Trevor that he’ll make the switch if and when it’s warranted. I’m personally very proud of the atmosphere that Dabo has created, the way he supports his players, disciplines his players when needed, and keeps the quality recruits coming to a school in a league handicapped by the NIL and disparity in revenue. Your whining after one game is premature.

nice attack in response to an awesome win. Nice attack on Coach Dabo who was able to get that talent, and win a zillion games against teams with better (higher ranked) all around talent to amazingly get us those titles. Nice attack on Coach Streeter, who put together a perfectly called 4th quarter. Nice attack on our qb who made great strides over last year.
