Ernie Ball Music Man. Those things are expensive in an average configuration. This one is a short scale, and it would be fun to play but the one standard I love about EBMM basses is the active preamp and what the tone controls are able to do for your sound. Their basses are the absolute pinnacle of fit and finish, tone, and playability, which makes them expensive but I don't need another passive bass. I'm all for simplicity (another earmark of MMEB) but my technique isn't good enough to get away with zero tome control like Joe Dart can. Joe could put 4 strings on a 2x4 and make it sound like the voice of God.
