Cat Man and Yoga: Huegel works on his long game

Greg Huegel walked on to Clemson’s football team last August and not only wound up earning a starting spot, he picked up a few All-American honors along the way. But don’t expect Huegel to revel in his success. He used the offseason to shore up the weak parts of his game, and he thinks yoga has helped make the biggest difference. Full Story »

Gotta love kickers! Huge part of the game. Keep plugging away. Yoga: If it helps, do it.

is to put every single kickoff out of the endzone. With an offense that has the potential to put numbers on the board it's critical to put the defense in a positive position every time and can limit the play calling of your opponent.

If he can increase his kickoffs and field goals by 5-10 yards that will be a tremendous help. Gooooo Tigers!!!

Pinion leave early to go to the NFL was a much bigger loss than most of us thought about. If he kicked it through the end zone as he normally did, the Louisville game wouldn't have been as close as it was. Then you think about the NC game, and Bama would've had to drive 75 yards instead of getting the "easy" TD.
Guess it's one of those "don't know what you have till it's gone" kind of deals. I don't care if it takes yoga or weekly trips to Curves, but hopefully Greg has added some distance to his kicks. Don't get me wrong, the guy did a fantastic job last season for any kicker, much less as a walk on.
