I weep for the future. In addition to all the other silliness with gender fluidity and personal truth, these dipsheets now think your virtual identity can be sexually assaulted. What is the punishment? 15 years without your computer? Maybe Putin’s war needs to expand to teach these people what destruction, rape and pestilence are.

They are pushing the virtual world instead of reality because you can do anything, be anything & go anywhere as they steal who you really are.

Let me explain.
Mark Zuckerberg unveiled the name for Facebook to mark its transition to what he calls “the metaverse.” The name, which is, perhaps unsurprisingly, M.eta, doesn’t translate well. Unless that’s the point.
While the word, now applied to such narratively self-aware works as “Adaptation” and “Deadpool,” derives from the Greek prefix meaning “after” or beyond,” and indicates something that transcends the word it latches onto (think metaphysics), in Hebrew the word “M.eta” is the feminine form of “is dead.”
M.eta = Death they aren’t hiding the death of reality while pushing their death pool virtual reality.
It’s sad in my opinion but you do you.

Actually the "Metaverse" first appeared in Neal Stephenson's 1990's novel Snow Crash. Which had nothing to do with snow, it was about a computer-system crash so complete it leaves your computer screen just buzzing like an old TV tuned to no channel, just staring at "snow". And the reason M-eta is blocked is because it's an HTML tag, which this site runs on.
The story is insane. Basically people from the Metaverse were infecting people in real life through the net with a neurolingistic virus, one that could reduce an actual human brain to this complete-crash state.
The hero's a pizza delivery driver who helped code the original Metaverse, but didn't manage his shares well...in the real world, he's a zero, in the Metaverse, he's still a warrior prince.
The book is absolutely hilarious, somehow never got made into a movie or TV series - how, I don't know, since it's got highly entertaining sword fights, a bad guy who rides around on a motorcycle with a nuclear warhead on it rigged to blow if the guy dies - which means killing him is a real bad idea - and an aircraft carrier that's been converted into the core of a vast raft of refugee boats that regularly descend on the coast of America. And all of America has been broken up, privatized, and franchised out, from the FBI to the military to every neighborhood.
Back then it sounded like dystopian fantasy. Now it sounds like a typical Wednesday.
So this opening of the Metaverse in reality sounds pretty much exactly like the Metaverse that Stephenson wrote about. Almost sounds like another chapter of the story, actually....

Which generation wasn't dumb? I can think of crazy flaws I think in all generations. That said, this new generation is also flawed, but in different ways. The masses as whole have always been a dumb generation.

I am weeping with you! I think of Col. Skardon and the two classmates that saved his life but later lost theirs on Memorial Day. Every incoming freshman should be made to stand in those footprints at the Military Plaza in front of Tillman Hall and be given the list of alumni who gave all for their freedom. Most don't have the slightest idea how expensive that freedom is to maintain.

The generation now doesn't know if they are a man or a woman, which is pathetic. Those in the 60's were rioting, spreading std's, blowing up churches, squirting black people with fire hoses, sicking dogs on people that just wanted equal rights, killing civil rights workers, forbidding black people to integrate schools, the list goes on and on. Clemson didn't have a black player until 1970. When the black people of the Greatest Generation came back from WWII they were treated like stray dogs.
We sugar coat the past. All generations are flawed and all have greatness. I believe in this next generation if they can get past the woke nonsense and they will be just fine as they get older and mature.
