Spurriers comment vs Dabos Rant

I am curious to know why all of T-Net is in such an uproar about Spurrier's comment. At no point did he mention Clemson in that statement, yet it has deeply offended some on here. How is it that he makes what might have been an indirect comment about Clemson, yet Dabo goes on an elongated rant about USC and he was hailed as a hero?

It's cool, Spurrier will make sure everyone sees his reply in November. It will be plastered all over the scoreboard in Memorial Stadium.
Btw, looking forward to a good (hopefully injury free) game this year. I'll be in attendance, it's my first trip up there...looking forward to it!

Dabo's rant was poetic a work of art really. It really was in response to some stupid remark by Todd Ellis or Spurless or both. Point being dabo was asked a question about it. Spurless just likes to run his mouth. The Tigers will get their chance soon enough. By the way just how long have you been a gamecock fan?

"Clemson is and always has been the University of South Carolina." That is so wrong!! There are over a dozen colleges older than CU in SC. Dabo insulted a whole lot of people that day--not just gamecocks. He could have said anything and everything he wanted about Spurrier, but he went too far. I agree with the removed post--Dabo did start this feud with Spurrier and he will never win a battle of words with him. It's like taking a peashooter to a gunfight. Now that they're #3, that "USC in California" and "Carolina in Chapel Hill" just sounds hollow to me. I applaud Dabo for maturing this year and not letting his emotions get the best of him (so far), but I cringed when he went off last December. Remember, Spurrier lives for the feud (ask UGA) and we don't need that this year--we have enough issues on the defensive side to occupy our time, practice, and energy.

Spurrier threw out a casual jab just to make a joke about a rival he has beaten 3 years in a row.
Dabo thought all day about his statement and planted the question with David Hood so he could get the Clemson fanbase attention off the fact that his team was getting pistol whipped by the Gamecocks.

This is what I dont understand. Prior to 3 years ago, any Clemson fan would have loved to of had Spurrier as their coach. The man is a proven winner. Now that he has turned the Carolina program around, there is so much hatred for him that it has nearly consumed the Clemson fan base.
I see a lot of posts on T-Net about "Carolina is always worried about their big brother(Clemson", yet every day I see 10 or more posts on here about Carolina. When will some of the posters on here come to grips with reality that Carolina has turned the corner and is a legitimate football team? Instead, posters on here resort to hating Spurrier, talking trash about the City of Columbia (which has nothing to do with the university, I mean hell is Central really something to brag about?" and calling Carolina players thugs. Carolina winning has driven this fan base insane and it shows everyday.
