The Deshaun Watson hearing is a Kangaroo Court. Why?

Because, under the system as it is currently set up, the NFL has the immediate Right of Appeal no matter what decision the Arbitrator hands down. And, once the decision is appealed, who makes the final decision on what the actual punishment will be? Surprise, surprise, good old Commissioner Roger Goodell.
So, all the suspense about when this arbitration hearing will end, and what the arbitrators decision will be, is just a moot point. I really don't see how the NFLPA thought this was any sort of progress at reducing the power of the Commissioner's Office, because it clearly is not.

Just look at the Texans football organization. No proof but I believe they’re behind it from the beginning. I feel they got their feelings hurt by a player with some intelligence. Poorly run organization in my opinion.

You had this opinion
Other than “mismanaged organization”. What you’re accusing is pretty serious. That’s all
I don’t care for the Texans organization. I don’t know much about them

I see where he is coming from. Pretty natural conclusion to come to imo. The timing of it. The fact the lawyer was neighbors with the Texan's owner. It was almost too coincidental. Probably a little truth to it.

That’s absurd. 20 something women put their necks on the line and gave sworn testimony and the NYT report found that he employed over 60 masseuses in like an 18 month period.

True, but wasn’t my point. The idea that the franchise somehow coordinated this takedown with the assistance of a couple dozen women willing to perjure themselves is ridiculous. May be a cash grab with more and more people trying to grab, but the “Texans did this” is lazy.

You don’t have to coordinate the entire thing to be the one that just got the ball rolling…listen…they knew about it all from the beginning…heck, they were complicit in it and even helped with some aspects at times…all they had to do was get the ball rolling with the right person or two and let the rest take care of itself…
Did DW do some immoral stuff??? Absolutely he did and he did it with other immoral people…(instagram pretend masseurs) … did the Texans know about it and even help…absolutely they did…then when he tries to make them look bad as an organization, they set the wheels in motion and here we are…had DW wanted to stay in Houston then the Texans would have been part of the cover up from the beginning also…this isn’t really that hard to figure out!!!

I have no doubt he had sex with a lot of these women. I actually feel he does have an issue. But I also believe they knew they had something on him and wanted to cash it in. I don’t believe he forced sex on anyone.

Not saying he didn’t do a lot of hanky pinky. Could’ve been 200 women with the right lawyer. I just feel texans had a bad falling out with DW and tried to put the screws to him. He spoke out about promises not kept. Don’t you remember the head coach, will give you his initials ; BO, who blew games over several seasons,,oh yeah, he was also running the offense. Then, was promoted to GM. Promoted??? Really??? Best thing for DW, in my opinion, is to get far far away from those people.

Updates based on listening to Eisen & other radio today

1. Looks like Busbee will next be suing the Texans for management knowing and facilitating Deshaun's penchant for massage therapists. 2. The female attorney/judge who Goodell hired to hear NFL cases has the right to reach a decision on zero games suspended, or a season, or a whole season. If she decides it should be zero games, Goodell is not able per bylaws with NFLPA to change the ruling. If the Atty/judge (Sue Robinson) sets a number of games for suspension, Goodell can overrule and add to suspension. 3. Prior to hearings today, the NFL leaked their preference that Watson be suspended for the season and have to reapply next year for play based upon good behavior. The NFLPA fired back, they were seeking zero games based upon Kraft, Snyder, Jones and Watson missing 20221 season. 4. After hearings ended today, I heard the NFL is now hoping that Watson's suspension will be at least 6-8 games. And that if so, Goodell is not anticipated to revise. 5. This tells me that NFL is sweating there is a small chance for a suspension of zero games. These attorneys (Hardin and NFLPA atty) are apparently not taking any prisoners. My gues is the suspension will be for 6-8 games. I've been wrong before.
I expect Sue Robinson is talking to and negotiating with Goodell right now on Watson/NFLPA testimonies and trying to protect the league and owners from any NFLPA/Watson allegations which could be leaked to the media.

Looks like from what you say, the NFL is softening their original stance. As of yesterday, they were wanting an indefinite suspension of a one year minimum but it could have been forever (indefinite). They stated that more women could come forward, and new evidence could surface, especially since 4 women have not settled. Thus the reason for the indefinite suspension. I think the NFL would prefer to see Watson never play another down in the NFL.
And now the Texans have to respond to the law suits. This could drag on for a long time. The NFL knows that. What a mess. If Watson had wanted sex that bad, he could have hopped a jet to Las Vegas. Ho houses are legal there and he could have had all the happy endings he wanted for a lot less than it is costing him now.

The issue was muddled more so when the Texans were added to the lawsuits. Hey, they have money, might as well bleed them too since Watson has settled most of his cases. It is a joke since Goodell has the final say in the appeal. The NFLPA has posed a great counterpoint to the NFL - why hold players to a higher standard than the teams owners? The Robert Craft prostitution incident in Miami was hushed up/covered up without any punishment from the NFL. Look at the ongoing PR nightmare with Daniel Snyder in Washington (years of lawsuits from continued harassment of female employees); heck, Congress is trying to drag him in to hearings and he refuses to accept a subpoena to testify. The NFL process is a Kangaroo Court, he’s been through court twice with no criminal charges brought forward. He’ll be suspended, most likely for the entire 2022 season. Meanwhile, Snyder will squirm around his issues and the NFL will turn a blind eye.

Does her being a female attorney/judge make her qualifications any different? I don't see why you needed to make that distinction for her but name the male lawyer and male president/owners by name
