The BIGGEST problem with Clemson BBall

Is the fans. It certainly isn't the Coach who has players playing at their max or the players who play extremely hard every night. Yes, we need better facilities and you've seen the upgrades maximize the football recruiting already, but the fans are a bigger issue. If you are a student or live close, GO TO GAMES! If you're not or live out of state, verbally support our coaches and players and recruits through message boards or twitter or call in shows or whatever you prefer. Do what we do for football and maybe, just maybe you'll see results. There is no excuse for bad student and locals turnout at games. Support your Tigers!!!

what point the team didn't "play hard"....they might not have made a basket for 14 mins and they might have had unnecessary turnovers.....but it sure looked to me like the defense left everything they had on the floor all night.....Had the Tigers not had to foul towards the end trying to make up the deficit, NCSt. would've only scored in the 50's
Plus, no one on this board has been giving NCSt much congratulations on the game they played. The Wuffies were tremendous on defense and Anya blocked/altered a bunch of shots. NCSt honestly has a better team talent wise than Clemson does....

A lot of "Clemson fans" don't even cheer for Clemson bball

They either cheer for some other team with a better tradition nearby (we'll love those teams nameless), or they don't cheer for college basketball at all. These folks might cheer for Clemson basketball when/ if we're doing really well, but they're just not big enough Clemson fans across the board to care.

I do not know if we should get rid of Brownell, the team while outperforming predictions, is not that good. Their offense is not good. Sooner or later he has to produce.
But your argument would have us still sitting with Hatfield as the football coach, and the losses would be because we did not cheer enough?
Brownell is the basketball coach, his job is to win and graduate players. I judge him by that. He needs to take responsibility for how the team has performed offensively and have a plan how to fix.
He is not going anywhere yet, but if next year there is not an improvement, the search should be on.

well I will put my 2 cents worth in ; basketball has always just played enough to bash your hopes ; going back to Tates Locke ; it will take a coach that has a tradition of winning at a MAJOR PROGRAM who can recruit talent on the coaches reputation OF WINNING until they put together 2 or 3 outstanding seasons ; then talent will come because of team reputation ; my other 2 cents is ; should have spent money on a bb coach instead of facility upgrade ; you produce a winner; talent will come and the stands will be full ok that's my 4 cents worth

come to a school that doesn't consider basketball a priority? If that's what it takes, then I guess we'll never change.
