The beauty is that coots won't fire Moosecramps...

...because the buyout is too painful... But, they won't extend his contract so recruits will see the writing on the wall and recruiting will suffer more as they wait out his contract. Lordy, I hope Mooseechump stays there forever.

Not that the two situations are in any way comparable,

but ironically I remember several Coot coworkers saying the same thing about Dabo during their inexplicable 5-peat. They probably got their wish, but I bet they wish they could take it back now!

Coot fans were offering to help pay Dabo's salary during that stretch.

Yessir, they were giddy and yet they weren’t seeing the whole picture. We were the better team the last two of those wins and snatched defeat from the jaws of victory each time. The talent scale had tipped in our favor after the Uber gets of Lattimore, Clowney, Gilmore, et al. And the writing was on the wall for those coots paying attention, which seemed to be limited to The Ol Ball Sac, The Ol Ball Sac’s wife, The Ol Ball Sac’s neighbor, the Sakerlina AD and a dachshund named Colin from Chaplin.

There recruiting is already having serious pains!!! Just a matter of time before the De-cootments start leaving! Their true freshman better not let Mustcan't fool them to play more than 4 games bc, he will have them locked in, and can't transfer without losing a year!!!

Assuming there was no buyout, they can't get anyone to take the job. I think 20 people turned them down before Muscoot said yes. That place has proven itsself as a career ender.

Awfully bossy for one so inexperienced, aren't cha?
I don't see anyone obsessing over the Fighting Chickens. For several years our ACC cousins to the north have not been able to bring it home against the #####, in spite of outplaying them. This has added to the ridiculous SEC superiority complex that Mus embraced and promoted. But his last 3 games have all been ugly losses to ACC teams.
All discussion of going to a bowl game should have ended today, but because the rest of the East looked even worse than the Chickens, there is yet hope for the Birmingham Bowl.
I doubt anyone from Columbia wants to return to Charlotte for the Belk Bowl, considering their last 2 games there.
I see no moral dilemma here. Enjoy our win, laugh at their comeuppance, hope our boys are ready to rock on Saturday. No obsession needed or practiced.

Or celebrate his best recruiting job ever--start spending Saturdays in the fall with his wife.

The worst thing about him to me is he’s supposed to be a great defensive coach. However, this is his 4th year and UNC put up just under 500 yards on them despite it being obvious that UNC was only going to run on the majority of their plays.
