My questions are: How can so many other CFB teams…

have so much more production from their QBs and WRs than Clemson? We have been recruiting 4⭐️ and 5⭐️ dudes at these positions (including OL and TE positions) for many years now, so why the sudden drop-off in passing/receiving offense the past 2+ years? Currently sports-reference.com has DJU at #80 out of 109 total QBs, Ngata as our best WR at #151, and ESPN has Clemson’s total O ranked #53, clearly helped by our rushing stats. With the likes of Purdue, Toledo, Fresno State, Coastal Carolina, FAU, and Tulsa all ahead of us statistically, it’s obvious that so many other schools do so much more with so much less than Clemson. Why? Or better yet, how??
Is it that DJ is just that bad? Are a lot of our recruits receiving artificially-inflated ratings based on Clemson’s recent success? Have we just “missed” on so many recruits? Or is the problem something deeper, more systemic? Could it be Dabo’s philosophy of hiring his friends and “promote from within”? Failure to adequately develop recruits? Bad, uncreative playcalling? Lack of focus on fundamentals? A perfect confluence of any number of these events?
Whatever the reason(s) are, something big needs to change! The excuse-making is getting ridiculous; I want to see some proactive steps taken by Dabo - maybe even before the bowl game - toward fixing the obvious problems with our program!
Bonus rant: Is anyone else concerned about a significant drop-off in our defense once Venables’ players move on? I’m worried that Goodwin is merely riding Venables’ success and hate to think what might happen to Dabo’s cronyism once Goodwin has to coach his own players.
Regardless, I will be a faithful fan no matter our record, and will always cherish the memories of the 2016 and 2018 seasons for the rest of my life! I just hope our historic run can continue. Go Tigers!

They coach their players up, and we coach 'em down.***

Development and evaluation are definitely part of the problem. That’s all coaching. Think of this. Our best offensive players are the ones with the least time around our coaches.
On D I think we are already taking on the personality of Goodwin. Quiet, soft, no fire. Losing venables was huge.
No dropoff on offensive fire from Elliott because streeter is the same as him. Quiet, soft, no fire.
I too am thankful for the run and will always be grateful. But it’s done.

This has been discussed before, but here are some issues.
Uiagalelei is just not as good as advertised. Some of it has to do with him not being a good fit for this system. Some of it is his problems with decision making.
The problem with receivers is that they are all the same type of player. You don't have a variety of giyscwoth different skills. There isn't a speed burner, or a guy who can get jump balls, or a guy who is a good possession receiver.
The other related problem is that schools like Goergia and North Carolina are starting to get guys who were coming here a few years ago.

True, but that brings up another question...

How much of it was Jeff and how much of it was really his dad? Did Brad play a bigger role than any of us know?

Dabo is a great youth pastor. But some say he's also a great gaslighting con man. For $11.5 million per year, other coaches seem to make much better decisions on and off the field. The Clemson portal flood gates may be wide open in January. We all witnessed the Clemson player infighting on the sideline on Saturday - are some players already reaching out to other programs? Is the Dabo house of cards slowly crumbling? Has the NCAA already been on campus snooping around? Were Tony and Brent smart to leave the sinking ship? I wonder? Dabo's ego tells him to disregard the smoke until he feels the heat of the fire, then it's too late.
