No they're not. They've been some of the best announcers ALL year long.

The color guy is absolutely the worst one I’ve ever heard. He talks in a monotone incessantly. It’s hard to watch the game with his drone ramblings. Just bad!!

Those guys are terrible. Boring as hell! Some of the worst announcers I’ve ever heard even on a college game. Our guys on the radio are infinitely better. Unfortunately the radio and YouTube TV were not synced up. So it was either watch on YouTube TV or listen on the radio, but not both. I thought they were terrible! Painful listening to them.

Not that they were pro VT or anti-Clemson. I didn’t think they were biased. They were just boring!

Agreed. They were bad. The only pass I’ll give them is ESPN is too cheap for them to travel to the game and were calling it remotely. Seems like it is hard to modulate your voice to the crowd noise when that’s the case. The P4P was screaming way too loud on big plays (for VT) and the color guy was whispering. Their sound engineer will not be winning any awards.

I preferred the local VT announcers last night to this “national” crew. At least they were at the game and could provide a better account.

They were clueless. Not close to good announcers.

To say I’ve never seen that play before. Laughable. It happens frequently.

I’m glad the games are on tv. I know baseball well enough to know what is happening. Don’t you?

This was a super game tonight. Tough game for vpisu to lose but it was called very professionally.

Learn from this !

All night long. I like them. Extremely knowledgeable about baseball and I appreciate that. I've listened to them a lot. Know their stuff.

As for what they said, they said they didn't ever remember the situation of the call. Meaning to end a game and a runner scoring first.

It's funny because I remember posting a couple years ago about our broadcast and these same tnetters complained and said I was dumb.

Also like...it's entirely reasonable to be disappointed as a fan of the game that a game with 9 total runs scored in the 9th inning ends on interference rather than a pitcher/batter matchup. Yeah they seemed down about it but never disputed that it was the right call.

Not the home announcers. VT home announcers last night were quite capable.

This was on the ACCN linear channel, not ACCNX. And they were calling it from their basements in Timbuktu and Kalamazoo.
