NCSU played the Pirate Gambler - their coach (Dirty Dave) should have realized that and called the game accordingly. Besides that App St has been a tough out, now they have Chase. A QB that would have been a game chamger in previous years, as in they would have been the talk of the Group of 5 his entire career. Pitt and Tennessee are what they are, Pitt won. FSU has time to opt out. Would you like to talk about VT or UVA's wins?
VT, Pitt, BC, UVA have a chance to be top 25 by the end, as does FSU, Miami, UNC. FSU beating UF would go a long way. Who goes head to head with the top conference more than the ACC, with smaller stadiums, budgets, and less talent? The acc was better than the sec in 2016, did folks acknowledge it? Nope. So Swoff says why bother? Occasional national championship, heisman, etc.
I could care less, more concerned about us figuring this season out right now.
That is a tall task for this FSU team. However, there are ACC schools like UVA and VT who are flying under the radar. GT will be another in upcoming seasons, they just had such a far way to dig out of the great Paul Johson hole. BC may make some moves, they have, for the most part, played tough. The NC schools do not do much on the grid iron. Wake does more with less and Duke has a good coach. I don't by that UNC retread. The biggest disappointments are the Florida schools. Pitt is hit or miss. I believe U of L are at some strange disadvantage, their coach is not terrible - he was tough at App St. Then 'Cuse simply has put stock in the wrong QB. I do not see them being much until he is gone and by then Dino may very well be gone as well.
Oh no it is wonderful .. we have an alliance now. Haven't you heard?.. nothing but gumdrop smiles and chocolate rivers now. ... You are correct, and I am hoping that the Clemson Athletic Dept is looking for other options. Clemson's long term success does not lie with the ACC or the stupid "Alliance" anyone who says different has their head in the sand...
