The 2 Out-of-Bounds Calls: REF’s right, Key Difference

Oct 23, 2022, 8:53 AM

I saw a key difference between the 2 hit out-of-bounds situations.
1. When Syr/#99 hit Klubnik, the hit didn’t happen until KLUB was totally OB.
2. But, when CU/#54 first hit Shrader, it occurred right on the edge of boundary, and it was more a continuing of momentum of both players out of bounds.
To me, the 2 situations were not identical because of where the hit first occurred.
And that’s why their hit(#99) was called, and ours(#53) wasn’t.

In reality sometimes calls go your way and sometimes they don’t. We have been on both sides of that. I can see it both ways. They could of threw the flag but they didn’t fortunately for us. At the end of the day though, that didn’t make or break the game for Syracuse. They had plenty of opportunities to win that game but didn’t. Four turnovers and we still win the game. We drove up and down the field almost all day. It’s obvious to anyone who knows football we were the much better team. We just had too many self inflicted wounds, but at the end we overcame the adversity.

The real issues is the espn talking heads pushing the false narratives. Which is all too familiar to us Clemson fans. Anyways forgets ESPN. Go Tigers!!!…. It’s championship season. Can’t wait to break out the orange britches for the ACC title game.

They weren’t identical at all. Syracuse defender knows Klubnik is 3 steps out of bounds and still lowers his shoulder and tackles him. Trotter and Shrader are both sprinting to the sideline and Trotter is trying to keep both of them up and Shrader flops like a fish. Great call by refs. The one play showing obvious bias by announcers.

Go Tigers!

On that call for the sake of argument I will give Syracuse the call but only if they give us the HOLDING calls on about 85% of their offensive plays. Easy for every team to cherry pick complaints on calls but on a whole Cuse got better than they lost.
