I never really thought Nuk was looked upon as fast?

Sep 11, 2012, 4:26 PM

I just think he's really good at finding holes and has great hands.

Nuk is quicker then most give him credit for

Sep 11, 2012, 4:40 PM

He's also gotten fast enough to stretch Defenses this year.

He doesn't have elite straight line speed, but he has elite burst coming out of his breaks. And he has elite ball skills.

NFL scouts like guys who can get open and use those big mitts to catch the ball as much as they like guys with blazing speed who don't know how to use it.

If he runs a decent 40 time at the combine, he's a pick in the top 3 rounds (only because it's hard for WRs to go very high).

Yea ^^ what he said....(and)

Sep 11, 2012, 7:27 PM

I think if Hopkins could turn in a sub 4.5 40,
he'll be fine (NFL combine)

BTW- I know we're only 2 games in,but has anyone noticed
that our best 2 receivers are Hopkins and PEAKE!!!

Sammy is comin, I know.

everybody seems to forget about Peake. He was rated ahead of Sammy by some publications last year. Obviously, sammy has come in and been absolutely INCREDIBLE and peake needed a year to get acquainted but i do expect huge things out of him.

That's what she said!***

Andre Ellington

Sep 11, 2012, 7:24 PM

ya gotta think along with Hopkins, that Ellington's
stock is on the rise as well.

Ellington has always been as good as anyone and explosive.

Sep 11, 2012, 8:36 PM

He is a better RB than CJ. The question, and problem, is not talent, but his ability to stay healthy. So far he has looked fragile, injury prone. If he can play all season injury free he'll be a 1st round draft pick, IMO.

I dont know that I'd say that he's a better RB than CJ. Also, doubt he'll be a 1st round pick and thats not a knock on Andre(i believe he has early round talent) its the fact that not many RB's are going early in the draft anymore. T.Richardson is obviously the exception to that rule but physically and talentwise he's the exception to every rule.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He's much better between the tackles than CJ was.

Sep 12, 2012, 8:56 AM

It also seems that his ability to find the holes and hit them is better than CJ's was.

However, Andre is fast but doesn't have the top-end speed or the ability to juke players out of their shoes that CJ had.

If I need 3 yards that could turn into 60, give me Andre. If I need 15 on 3rd down give me Spiller.

A agree with your opening statement. He is a better pure running back than CJ. No doubt.

His stock was high to begin with according to most.

This is not news to me. I have known about his abilities and his contributions for a long time. Great to have him as a Tiger.
