Two kickers and a glorified legacy walk on smallish TE. Hopefully some guys fall to us on Feb and or the portal to help get numbers where they need to be(no I’m not just talking about taking anyone either)
I know the kicker and punter are good but still

We're Clemson..... I get it though, maybe South Carolina is more of some of you guy's speed. I never seen more juvenile uneducated responses than I have over these past 2 weeks. Too me the mods should just get rid of guys that want nothing more but to complain. I'm tired of coming on a site to get the latest info on Clemson and seeing grown men cry about kids. IF YOU DON"T LIKE IT LEAVE. Nobody is keeping you here and obviously you're not happy so go find a team that makes your little peck-er move everyday.

We signed 12 good recruits that want to be at Clemson.
This was the EARLY signing period. There’s more time to fill out the class through HS recruits and portal.
Dabo has hired the coaches he wants and he’s done a pretty good job making good hires in the past.
Regardless, we’re still Clemson. At least some of us are.

We don’t look like a serious program and Dabo is not acting like a serious coach that wants to win championships. You can call that whining complaining a Debbie downer half empty anything you want but It shows that you are a clown and in denial of what is really going on. If you think what we’re doing right now is gonna lead to more championships you need to look in the mirror and recognize you don’t know a #### thing about college football.

Have you applied to DABO for a position as recruiting coordinator?

In the sec and ACC and was a 4 year starter in college. I left to have a very successful business that I still run. I know this sport better than most on here. I only point that out becuase of your comment and not because I want to say that. It’s 100% a disappointment after losing 3 of the top 4 rated recruits the last few days, and have a significant low number of players on scholarship, it’s very troubling to only sign 9-10 position type players and if you don’t see that, that’s ok but I was just pointing it out. The hostility from ignorant football fans is guite funny sometimes though. Dabo 100% didn’t want to just sign these 12 players espically after losing the 3. His interviews later are low key saying that. I trust he will get some Good players. He has proved that but I still stand by my comment.

You brag of your football history and knowledge and you have provided nothing in the past year that would demonstrate even the slightest bit of that knowledge you claim.
Just a big pile of vague, critical and negative posts about Clemson football.
I did not find one of them where you went into any sort of detail to back up your thoughts, and my guess is that it wasn't by choice.
I didn't bother going back any further into your posts than a year.
You also contradict yourself when you complain about not signing more players while also not counting a 3 star TE as a player signed.
You haven't earned the right to be condescending to a poster who correctly points out that Clemson does need to sign quality kickers and punters.
It's not like Clemson chose to add extra specialists to the team instead of adding players at other positions.
Those players are quality additions to the class, just like the other 10 players that signed today.

Many of your over 3,000 posts have come in the last year.
If you are eager to talk football, why haven't you done so with all of those opportunities?
I am frequently willing to interject my limited football knowledge into conversations on an almost daily basis when there is an opening.
It is getting harder and harder to find people actually discussing the game of football on the boreds these days because all of these board people are more entertained with drama.
Do you have an area or specialty when it comes to your football knowledge, or do you enjoy sharing what you know about all aspects of the game?

To the OC(yes Clemson does this as well). So I can yalls what we you like, but None of this was about this though lol it was simply stating we signed 12 guys, 10 are position players, 1 was a fall back with two other offers and we seem to have a history with the legacy offers. We still have from what I have read 27 scholarships available (well 26 since another walk on QB is getting a schlolly) after the 12 today. That’s is a massive hole. Imagine another injuety filled season. It’s alarming. But whatever you want to do, being real is not being negative.

My comment on you being negative was in regards to your posting history.
Your comments today were just downright disrespectful toward Josh Sapp specifically.
I look forward to seeing your posts in the future displaying your football knowledge to help enrich the bored when it comes time to help explain things to people.
At this point I have still just seen you patting yourself on the back without providing any sort of information about the game of football or any detailed analysis of players.

What position and school did you play at where it was considered ok not to consider the Kicker and Punter as "Players." ?
There have been quite a few National Championships won or lost on the leg of a kicker.
There have been quite a few difference-making Punters on Championship teams.
I'm not going to sit here and try to tell you that a great kicker is as valuable as a great QB or RB, but I can make an argument for a great kicker being as or more valuable than your average offensive scholarship player. Similarly - a great Punter is not as valuable as a great DE or LB, but a great Punter may be as valuable as an average defensive scholarship player.
Why insist on denigrating K and P to make an otherwise decent point?
While I'm at it - why insist on denigrating a legacy TE? While I get he may be one of the lower-rated players we took - he's still D1 material and commitment and heart can turn some great 3 stars into much better players than money-hungry 4 and 5 star players without a sense of commitment. If we were filling our whole team up with these players I might have an issue with it... but in a given year we've had about 3-4 on scholarship and usually at least 1-2 that are significant contributors (like Jake Venables).

We didn’t sign a large quantity of players today, but the quality of these guys looks really good.
I have 100% confidence that our staff will fill the holes on our roster between now and the summer.
Building and maintaining a roster is now much more like a business than ever before. Hire / recruit good people, treat them well, provide an environment for them to grow, and the good ones will stay. We’ll lose a few here and there, but net net, Clemson‘s culture will provide a highly competitive roster in this new world.

While we didn't have big numbers in volume, we did make it up in quality. I think out average star rating right now is 4th or 5th in the nation.

It has just been the perfect storm, with guys hitting the portal that they didn't account for and losing our coordinators has cost us probably 4 signees at least.
Right now, we have to be honest and say it's doesn't look good. But it's a long way until next August.
It's been so hard to follow the players coming and going, mostly going. I don't even know how many we currently have on scholarship. Once everything settles down we might be 15-20 under the limit. Who knows...

If Gunn and Smith pan out, I could argue that they are some of the most important pieces.
