When I checked yesterday Doc was shown as being #6 on the alternate list. The field list makes appear that he had already qualified.

I hope he's in it. He needs the Fed Ex points as does Lucas. I counted through yesterday's round for Lucas, he had 9 missed putts within 3 feet or less. Ouch.
Sure wish we'd get some information on Kyle as well as updated information on Billy.

have done a poor job of covering our Past Tiger Golfers, both male and female. To me, this is inexcusable. We should care about and cover all of those who have represented and entertained us.
But I’m just an old fat retired guy that has absolutely zero influence on how we treat our own.
I’m off the soap box now.
Here’s another one: Alice Hewson . . . she didn’t play in last week’s LET Belgium Open . . . nor is she in the Field for this week’s Italian Open . . . Is she hurt, sick, taking a break . . . What? I have no connections to find out, but I’m interested in her, as she is a Tiger!

Update through 3rd round of NCAA golf. @Schema had posted last week before the tournament, Jacob was at 3rd university rankings. His competition in the NCAA is listed.
Coody - t5
Hammer - t12
Manke - as individual is t12 (he could move into top 5)
McAlister - t17
Bondi - t25
Phillips - t34
Unclear as to whether or not they get additional bump for matchplay.

We both enjoy good baseball . . . and while I wanted the Braves to win, I was still thrilled to see the exhibition Sandy Alcantara put on display . . . at the end of 8 innings and after 105+ pitches, he was still hitting his spots with 100 mph fastballs, 98 mph sinkers and sliders and a change up of 92 mph . . . He Was Dominant.
It’s baseball . . . and a dämn good showing!!!
Happy for Fried getting his first ever victory over the Marlins in Atlanta on Sunday as I traveled home.
Back to golf . . . I failed to mention last week, but Lauren Stephenson finished tied for 12th Place @ the Founders Cup event on the LPGA, her -9 score earned her $46,366.00
(Sadly, she is not in the field for this week’s U.S. Women's Open Conducted by the USGA @ Pine Needles Lodge and Golf Club in Southern Pines, NC. The Purse will be $10,000,000!!!)

As always, golden information. This is the link where I got Jacob had been bumped to third. Just FYI. But it looks like he's in good shape.
Shoutout to UNC as the lone ACC team to make matchplay. They also ended up tied for medalists rounds with Oklahoma and vandy.

It is official! Jacob has finished second in the Velocity Global Rankings. He will now be exempt into all open, full-field events on the remainder of the KFT season. Plus, he has a spot in the three KFT Finals events where he can try to earn a full exemption into the KFT next season. At a minimum, just by earning a spot into the KFT Finals, he is guaranteed at least conditional status on the KFT next season.

Wait, I may be wrong. It may not be the three KFT Finals events that he has an exemption towards. Instead, I think it is the finals of next season's KFT Q School, which would guarantee him at least conditional status. Sorry about that.

That's the way I read it too. But he gets the remaining season to qualify for full status next year? Am I reading that right? He'll be fine no doubt.

Yes, he should have a spot in at least eight of the final nine regular season events. If he can move into the top 156, he will also get into the Pinnacle Bank Championship, which ends the regular season.
He needs to earn as many points as he can. Finishing in the top 75 will get him into the three KFT Finals events. Otherwise, he is guaranteed a spot in next season's KFT Q School finals. So, you are correct. He is going to be fine.

Thanks as always and my apologies to you. You'd posted the updated university rank a week ago and I just noticed it under Clemson other sports.
You guys are the best. You really are. Interesting side note on the NCAA championship. Not sure I've ever seen the golf polls so accurate. The 8 advancing teams to match play ranked 1 thru 8.
Sadly UNC didn't advance to the semifinals.

No problem. I struggled with where to post it. Technically, it was about a Clemson golfer at the time of the article. However, he was days away from turning pro. So, it was a tough call.
