Same with the Idaho shooting at the campus with 4 dead and the news didn't pick it up. Really haven't heard much about it since it's so common.
The devil has always been there but I do believe he's fast track gaining a bigger and bigger foothold in today's society. We as a Christian based society need to rise up now more than ever before.

My 'Rising up,' is limited by the time it takes me to read God's Word, get prayed up every day and spend time with The Master in fellowship and communion. I just don't have time to rise up and try to save our society. I reckon it's because during those important times listed God shows a Light in my heart which lights another one of those evil stronghold.
Man is inherently evil. Preach that message in the average church and either you're have a revival, be rejected and cast out or applauded by a congregation which is deader than a stone.

It really is, and it was our courts that took the rights of parents to put the fear of punishment in our kids at a young age when it would work by just spanking their A$$. In my generation, and a generation after mine, killings wasn't a daily occurrence in the news. I believe that it was bc our parents put the absolute fear of punishment in their kids for doing the thing that kids are doing today on a daily basis without the fear of punishment of any kind, and now kids are arming themselves, and going to the play ground, with a lot of them arming themselves, and going to school, or after school functions like FB, baseball, basketball games packing waiting for someone to hand them some crap, and they are ready to kill. Honestly, nobody could by me a ticket and pay me to go to High School game in any sport!!!!
Things has gotten so bad, that I don't walk out my house without packing, especially when I'm on my mower cutting grass, and I hope that I see if a stranger is coming in my yard before they are to close to me so I can ready myself if they have bad intentions for being in my yard!!! I would rather carry and never need it, than to get caught without it, and need it in the one time that it could save your life....

That's just part of the problem.

Some parent never let their children face the judgement at home, at school, which is practically insignificant or in court where justice is served.
Many of today's youth is hardened to justice and see murder and prison as a mark of manhood rather than a place of repentance. Even those who don't kill do as much harm to others as they can do legally. Open a twitter account and tweet that first line in the body of this message and see how long you go without the vemon of their selfrighteousness being injected.
Forget twitter, do it here.

Thank you, Dabo, for pointing out the taboo

Pretty much every time something like this happens the only thing mentioned is mental health, society, and access to guns.
I definitely think all those things have a place and a role. No doubt. I don't want to oversimplify complex human behavior
But it's like we're scared to call evil...evil. As a society it seems we want to place responsibility somewhere other than the shooter.
So I'm glad Dabo called it the way it is. And it reminds me that Tony's most important role may have nothing to do with football. Maybe he is at Virginia "for such a time as this."

I agree, the devil came to kill, steal and destroy. He has been jealous of man from the beginning because he wanted to be a man. It’s a evil demonic attack against these young men and their future.
Praying for all the families who have lost their precious sons and the families with injured sons. I pray the the love, peace and grace of God would give them love beyond our understanding, in Jesus name, Anen.

There's truth to what you're saying

But what about the evil in people? I, too, believe the Bible. I'm talking about James 1.14-15.
If we blame the devil for everything, we're still shifting personal responsibility.

I totally agree with Coach Dabo. Unfortunately satan is at work in this world. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of these victims and with the UVA community and Coach Elliott.

Too simplistic to "blame Satan"

Read James 1.14-15.
Let's not blame the devil for the actions of evil in humanity.

It’s sad and horrific, prayers to Virginia and to the families. Unfortunately, we’ve seen this over and over again; schools, malls and even churches. There is no safe place for large gatherings anymore.
