Thank You Cordarrian Richardson!!

For decommitting, we would've never been able to go after the Lightning Bolt that is....Travis Etienne! Some things just workout perfectly!

Great point! Things do have a way of working out.

Well I don't think that was a happy thing that happened to Cordarrian and was not his wish to have to de-commit so I take no pleasure in that. I certainly wish him well.
We are happy that it worked out well for us and are delighted to get another awesome recruit in Etienne.

Not sure if it was decommitting as much as it was him not going to be able to qualify due to the academic scandal at his school.

But regardless, Yes, I'm thankful we got ETN instead.

I think you're right. It was his school's fault probably more so than his. I wanted him but Dabo and Co are outstanding at getting guys late in the process when something falls through which is why I don't understand any Clemson fan's recruiting complaints. I think most of the people who were complaining were trolls anyway. Funny how those guys have disappeared over the last couple of weeks.

E-T-N seems to be even better as a young man than a football player. This young man is incredible! I wish the best for Richardson, but Clemson ended up in a better position because of it. I wish that tigernet would interview his mother!

I think so too. I am really pleased with Travis as a player and a person.

You do not think he knew what his real marks should have been?

Is there ANY proof HIS grades were manipulated at all?***

If there was, I doubt he would be playing college ball at any school.

Brad Brownell: more losses than any other coach in school history.

I doubt so as well***

Yes---co-employee testimony---and Richardson wasn't the only

"student-athlete" whose grades were manipulated. Several people were fired after the investigation and it wasn't the first time Trezivant HS in Memphis found itself in the middle of controversy

I can't say for sure. Probably not. My point is our parting ways with him had more to do with what was going on at his school than some decision he made to part ways with Clemson. Loved his film. Would've loved to seen him in orange but it was not to be. Glad we got Travis. Great kid. Will likely be one of the all time great tiger RBs by the time he leaves barring injury. My other point is that this is what our staff does when we lose a guy. They go out and find a guy. I'm not trying to say that I would've taken Rich over ETN either. I don't do evals like our coaches do. This is what I hate about message boards. Without knowing me and looking me in the eye when we communicate the context of what I'm saying is lost and people assume things and that's ok we all do it but hopefully this brings in some clarity:)

Dood...

Sep 18, 2017, 6:02 PM

Not sure if you are familiar with how his recruitment played out, but I don't think a condescending post like this is appropriate...

But yes, everything did work out perfectly for us (and likely Etienne too!)

He didn't decommit, he was part of an academic scandal***
