Texas, Oklahoma. This looks good on paper, for SEC

Texas, Oklahoma. This looks good on paper, for SEC

and Texas and Oklahoma. But, watching the SEC juggle schedules to include two more schools, at the potential expense of traditional yearly rival games is going to be interesting. Tennessee hasnt beaten Alabama since 2006. Does Bama drop this game to play Texas or Oklahoma periodically? Other “rivalries” at stake. Not everyone will be happy. What about divisions? Lot of details to get pissed about.
ACC and PAC 12 should set up an ACC vs PAC 12 challenge , figure out how to counteract the SEC “together” but remain independent conferences. Perhaps we can include ND in the ACC /Pac12 challenge since they have west coast rivals.

What current SEC team does this benefit?

Of course it benefits Texas and Oklahoma, and maybe it puts a little more money in the pockets of current SEC members, but what current SEC team is better off for adding these two teams? I am thinking that these will both be top 5 teams in football and basketball, so even if the addition creates an additional seat at the CFP table, most SEC teams have two more teams in front of them in the pecking order. For the second tier (LSU, Florida, Georgia, Auburn), there are two more legit teams vying for the division championships. And even for Bama, how can their schedule help but get tougher?
What am I missing? Maybe it is me looking at it from a fan's perspective instead of an administrator's perspective, but I just don't see why any current SEC member would want this.

Clemson has had less money for years. Money doesn't always translate to success. Sure, it helps and you need it. But coaching, specifically head coach, is by far, the biggest factor in winning, period.
Let 16 SEC teams compete for ONE SEC championship. Good luck keeping a job SEC coaches.

I’m not for expansion but I have no choice but to roll with the new. This is about ESPN taking over CFB and wanting premium content at all time slots on Saturdays. It ain’t stopping there.
