Re: Tellin' ya ... way to temper this is to make NIL open

This seems wrong, but bear me out.
The short-term way to get schools to self-regulate their current NIL fever is to make the NIL even more wide open. Let's use two examples: TX / Bijan Robinson -and- WI / Braelon Allen.
Bijan Robinson now has 6 NIL deals worth ~ $1,000,000 per year (i.e., .
If the NIL deals are required for the school to pay the entire value of the NIL EVEN IF the B.Robinson transfers to Southern Cal after the 2022 season, Texas still must pay the remaining ~$500,000 to B.Robinson) while watching B.Robinson play for USC.
Braelon Allen (rising SO RB at Wisconsin)
Let's say he portals out and signs NIL deal with aTm after the 2022 season. aTm arranges for a $1,000,000 NIL deal for B.Allen which covers both his Junior and Senior seasons. EVEN IF B.Allen transfers to Oregon after the 2022 season, aTm owes the remaining ~ $500,000 to B.Allen while watching B.Allen play for Oregon.
(***) If there was a real downside for big money colleges to get hosed in the NIL sweepstakes, then I can promise you that the NIL deals will become less lucrative.

Schools don't pay NIL money.

What it does show is that he is only one player and the team had a 5-7 record

A 20 year old in a Lamborghini? Some stupid ideas have pretty serious automatic correction functions built in.

When I was in Vegas last year, I walked outside my hotel to get dinner. Maybe a dozen emergency vehicles, lights, crowd of approximately 200 people on both sides of the street. In the street, the upside down remains (yes turtled) of a Lamborghini and some other car that was completely unrecognizable. There’s your “auto correct function” of a stupid idea.

Baseball is obviously quite different from football in that any team really can win on any day, and the playoffs can be a crapshoot with hot pitching, streaky hitters, and series of games instead of just one game. But the highest spenders are consistently the most competitive, and typically do win more titles than the rest.

They are not all going to be a bunch of money chasing prostitutes.
That’s what people are missing with this whole thing.

A Lamborg Hiney might be nice for some. Butt, I sat in one

at the Guinness World Record Museum attraction in Tennessee a few years ago. I couldn't have sat in a coupe, because my head was sticking about a foot out of the airspace where the top would have been. (It was some form of a "T" top?)
So, it would have to have been a big Mercedes or Porsche turbocharged SUV to buy my allegiance. Complete with the optional console full of Benjamins.
