Not sure they actually got their degree. Burrow didn’t and said he was from Athens High School. Maybe they have to graduate

What is the big deal?
Everybody knows where Higgins played college ball- Oak Ridge High school with an enrollment of approximately 1550 students grades 9 through 12, give them props Mr.Higgins- maybe other guys will get the same shot you did- from small high school to a major college and then live you dream of playing for a Super Bowl ring.

I know Tee left early (junior year). Did he officially graduate and earn his degree from Clemson? If not, perhaps, the appropriate protocol is to say the last place you graduated from. Other players did the same thing. I know DJ Reader definitely graduated from Clemson.

Big deal. Many of these guys say their HS or something silly. I think everyone knows Tee went to Clemson. As a program, we have moved past little micro recognitions. Tee is a Tiger. Cut him some slack.

Some have said its to give their high schools a little recognition.
its not like announcers don't say where the player went to school several times during a season or even during a game. Its also on NFL programs and websites and graphics during games. Tee is constantly tweeting about Clemson during the season I'm sure it wasn't meant to be disrespectful.
Nuk is a different story.
