Those of you who say the ACC is weak do you know

Nov 19, 2022, 9:13 PM

That it was designed for Miami and FSU to play for the conference championship every year. And if both of those teams would beat everyone in the conference then ESPN would consider the conference great just like the SEC. The SEC in is just like ACC basketball. You really only have Duke and UNC. SEC has Alabama and Georgia. And actually as I think about the SEC isn't even that unless Georgia wins the ? this year. Take Bama out and you have UGA who wins a championship every 40 years like Auburn. LSU does so a year here and there. Florida is done. Tennessee last won when none the current players were even born. And the rest of the conference has never won anything. So put Bama and LSU in the ACC and put Clemson and FSU in the SEC. And you tell me Clemson can't beat those other teams with the only challenger being UGA

to me, you have to throw out the elite and the worst teams

Nov 19, 2022, 9:15 PM

in each conference and then line up the 4-5 teams in the middle. When it comes to that, the SEC is heads and shoulders ahead of every other league.

Leadership is weak

Conference at disadvantage to other conferences in media rights and financial resources .

There's something in these hills.

Arkansas, USUCk, Missouri, and Texas A&M joined the SEC what have any of them done since joining?

Is this a serious question?

Nov 19, 2022, 9:26 PM

Mizzou won their division twice, for starters…

Re: Is this a serious question?

Nov 19, 2022, 9:30 PM

Can't be a serious answer; they won their division? So we are going to forfeit the National Championship games and tell the committee we just want to be known for winning the division; not the ACC championship, just the division. Wow

You have to look at out of conference games

Nov 19, 2022, 9:20 PM

Especially ACC vs SEC games. ACC has a couple of those wins this year but it's still lopsided toward the SEC. Also look how Notre Dame just punks the ACC! Both on and off the field. They get whatever they wants and this year they cake walked through the ACC with little effort while they struggled big-time in non ACC games. In bowl games most years the SEC dominates the ACC. Florida dominates FSU at least the last few years. Kentucky dominates Louisville. And needless to say Georgia dominates GT. Clemson is the only one in the conference who does well outside the conference.

So I don't know how old you are but do you remember pulling for the conference in the 80s or 90s. And by what you are saying FSU was never good because they were doing exactly what we are doing only difference is the conference was totally trash!

The ACC is weak, whether you know it or not.

Nov 19, 2022, 9:29 PM

Small stadiums for schools not committed to football. Don’t be delusional, it doesn’t help anyone.

Re: The ACC is weak, whether you know it or not.

Nov 19, 2022, 9:34 PM

Only thing I'm delusional about is how we as Clemson fans have these networks changing us into fans of a conference. I just want to know who was pulling for FSU when they were winning every game in the conference. And if you wasn't; then why? Didn't you want an ACC team playing for a National Championship?

Great post but

Nov 19, 2022, 9:38 PM

can you repeat that please? ?
