as our Softball Team tries to claim their first Regular Season Title . . . FSU has won 5 in a row and 17 Championships in the 27 year ACC softball history
Cagle is in the circle and had a 3 up 3 down first inning . . . We scored one in the 1st inning on a Guimbarda Sac line drive to right scoring Clark from third.
We are heading to the Bottom of the 2nd now . . .
Somebody pull our guys through as they are blacked out over here . . . Last I heard it was 5-4 Good Guys

Then in the Top of 7 she drives in the go ahead run . . . Tigers up 6-5 . . . Needing 3 outs to seal the Win and the ACC Championship!!!!

Costly errors but I think the layoff hurt. They haven't been their usual relaxed crisp mode... And haven't hit to their standards all series. Even though they're W's. Tight because of what's on the line?

If she's not the POTY then idk what qualifies... I think Clark was safe at 2nd. It was close but sure looked like got her hand to the bag first. Aggressive is good but think I'd waited and got her in a steal cnt. Usually been throwing balls on 2nd or 3rd pitch. Meh

I thought the same thing, but it doesn't matter now. Cuse walks it off in the bottom of the 7th. Our girls were just off today. They had the weight of history on them, and it showed.

Got to get the insurance run(s) with the base loaded and 1 out.
Got to catch the ball at first base on a perfect throw.
I agree about out of the baseline, but I would have a different opinion if it was the other way.
Got to get focused and get at it again tomorrow. I assume Cagle can't go tomorrow, so we definitely need to cash in these scoring opportunities.

It just seems like Valerie may be running into "the freshman wall" right now. She has thrown a LOT of innings already this year. Her control has definitely not been up to snuff the last two times out.
Clemson will prove they are a TEAM next time out, and win this thing without Cagle pitching. She will no doubt be hitting and playing right field, though.

Can't remember a wild pitch with runner on third. Hard to believe 6 homers in a 9 inning stretch???? Or something like that. The box scores aren't up to date but it was some odd stat like that.
Think freshman wall may be premature at this point. She was off but the defense didn't help. That said, Cuse has hit her well and with the exception of Val, and a bomb by Marissa, the bats have been ice cold this series... To the standard we're used too. First time I remember us having bad plate approach in quite some time. That happens. This was like Cuse's bowl game so to speak and they're a good team.

Really tough luck there. Swinging bunt, it just happens sometime. But then the e3. Ouch. Then the questionable single... But, we could have put them away with bases loaded and 1 out. 2 run lead at minimum would have changed our whole strategy in the bottom half. Sometimes a loss is the best thing.
We still win a championship with a W tomorrow.

This one stings. Some tough losses this week. Soccer, baseball, this game. Case of the sads. Even though we have plenty of softball ahead and clinch tomorrow, this game will have been a bump in the road.
