They use the forward pass there, right?

So it’s not surprising he didn’t make it.
I still can’t believe Dabo said that KB would be playing in the NFL. Although he said the same about Kyle Parker, didn’t he?

If he has a Tim Tebow moment and moves to tight end we might hear from him yet. Hard to believe the controversy when TL became the starter.

Dipshitula argued with anyone who questioned him about Bryant being on NFL roster.

Kelly Bryant like Tim Tebow and and many others like them let their ego get in the way. Both could’ve made excellent NFL players at a different position, but were unwilling to make the move.
Typically the best athlete is made quarterback when they are children. But as competition gets harder tons of quarterbacks are converted to other positions at the college level. Then many of those guys are converted again at the NFL level. Look at Charlie Waters who played quarterback at Clemson and Patrick Sapp.
Ego and pride prevent a lot of these guys from becoming truly successful at the next level. But then that is something that unfortunately everyone deals with and as part of the human condition. But that’s where you need family and friends around you to talk some sense into you.

I think that's part of it, but you're glossing over

how hard it is to switch positions. Sure, in pee wee football you can do that, but on the college level it's really difficult to do.
For example, some people here suggested that Bryant switch to receiver. If he had done that, he wouldn't have seen the field. He would've been trying to pass really good receivers on the depth chart - guys who truly had NFL potential and who had been receivers for many years.
Others suggested tight end, but again, who was he going to pass on the depth chart in order to get meaningful playing time while learning the position?

Chris Carter Told KB....
Aug 11, 2021, 7:06 AM
|
|
you'll never be a QB in the NFL . He warned him about burning his bridges.
KB probably has the same poor attitude about his skills not be appreciated and that he wasn't given a fair shake.
KB can find a job and work like the rest of us...who don't have Pro-Football skills either .

CFL is a passing league so why would anyone think KB2 was a good fit?

Kelly Bryant never had a future at the next level
Aug 11, 2021, 12:21 PM

The fact is this: KB isn't athletic or strong enough to play another position besides QB. I think he's aware of that and is why he didn't bother trying to be a TE or anything else.
The real world beckons now. I hope he graduated and can put his degree into action.
