WCCP propaganda train is already on this. Basically saying this is a good thing for the program...

I don’t listen to WCCP at all anymore. I used to defend the station.

Not anymore. We’d be better served with a new station that didn’t kiss up to every coach and coaching situation. Objectivity is the basis behind reliable journalism. Too much blind butt kissing bias there anymore.

Goins was the top assistant recruiting O-Max so maybe that is what led him leaving.

That’s not why O-Max left.

He was already leaving, and it had nothing to do with Goins, Brownell, or anything Clemson did or didn’t do.

What college basketball program has contacted Clemson about hiring Coach Brad Brownell. I know there are some great openings now...Indiana, Texas, Oklahoma and maybe UNC.

11 years what has he really done Clemson could became strong program with the right coach and schemes. I would hire a coach that is offensive minded and loves to run and gun scoring helps recruiting

The same ones trying to hire Tommy Bowden. When an obvious upgrade is available, Brownell will be gone.... Until then, we have to support Brad. A tough job for anyone!

Maybe Brownell will hire someone who can recruit players and provide constructive input on developing a better scheme on offense including a fast break? Just a thought on coming out of this bad week with something to be excited about.

Maybe we could hire Michael Jordan to be an assistant coach in waiting for the head coach position when Brad Brownell ______.

Saw on another site that he was leaving because good relationship with Earl Grant. Grant was the one that recommended Goins to Brad. Also Goins’ wife is from NY and her father is not in good health. They wanted to be closer to her parents.

If we don’t get a great replacement and and at least a couple of good transfers then Brad is slipping further Can’t you see the ceiling on top of his head He just can’t get it done no more than Tommy Bowden could

Tanner Smith...

Tanner Smith would be a very good candidate to replace Goins. Been a full time assistant for 4 or 5 years now. Tanner just finished his first season there. He knows the state of GA and region like the back of his hand which you need to recruit at Clemson. Kennesaw State had a real good recruiting class for their level this past year.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that Brad will be fired before the start of the next season.

He had a couple good seasons but recently he has not been good. I mean just in this season we had to quarantine what 2 times. And they were both while we were on good win streaks. The first we were what 9-1 then we lost a few bad games then we got on another win streak then we had to take a break again.

Good for Goins. Seemed like the players really liked him as a coach.
