I know you're better than that (I genuinely do), but so long as you live in a hyperpolarized mindset where even a single instance of not toeing the line is somehow an unforgivable sin against the Party, you won't be.

The white grievance portrayed by you and your homies on this shooting, and lack of concern and dismissiveness for the actual tragedy. A retired police officer lost his life confronting this guy, and the only thing I hear from the party of "law and order" is butthurt over this being labeled a hate crime.

The shooting sucks and the dude should get the death penalty, assuming the law allows it.
He chose a place with gun laws limiting the number of rounds in magazines. Interesting to consider unintended consequences.
And, it seems on the surface to be a hate crime. It is what it is. I'm not offended by it or whatever because the left has set up a system to create these people.
Under the current social situation around the country, I expect more of these types of things. The democrats are actively trying to create more by, for example, the POTUS telling half the country we are the most extreme group in the history of the US...blah blah blah.
That rhetoric feeds the fire in a big way. People commit crimes, not words, but when you are the POTUS you have a higher level responsibility to de-escalate, but instead Biden is escalating.

Something other than limiting government and maximizing individual liberty then I can see how you might think you're too the right of me. For instance, you're more anti-Democrat than pro-liberty, which is what many "conservatives" on here actually are.

libertarian; again, minimizing government and maximizing the freedom of the individual. Personally I'm much more conservative, but I try to keep my personal code of morality from dictating what I think government should and shouldn't do. For example, I'm not a drag queen, but I hardly find Tillman Hall drag shows offensive or troublesome. But isn't that the catch 22 with libertarians? Hard to call someone a liberal when they're likely much more pro-market, pro-freedom than oneself.
EDIT: I want to add I don't think the GOP should adopt the Libertarian Party's platform, but just that, personally, I don't see how a steadfast commitment to those first principles take you anywhere else, unless you add a caveat on there that is something like, "minimizing government, and maximizing freedom up to a point because a moral society is a healthy society." Which is fine if that's the line you want to take, but I would argue you can't rightfully claim to be as "pro-liberty" as many see themselves as. Which, again, is fine.
